    Taken from Maxboxing interview:

“Everything is cool with Shannon as long as you tell him how great he is, but once you say something that’s not 100% positive, once you offer some constructive criticism, he gets a little salty; he’s not so warm to you any more. And Shannon never gets rid of any of his old trainers. He basically keeps a whole training team around him. When I was there, he had Chuck McGregor, Milton LaCroix, Carlos Albuerne, an older guy from Denver, and two or three conditioners. I’m serious. This guy had six trainers, and when one trainer upset him, he ignored that trainer and brought in another guy to work close with him. It was crazy. We were playing musical trainers. When one guy got on his nerves or hurt his feelings or didn’t want to hang out with him at strip clubs in South Beach, he replaced him. I couldn’t work like that. So I left.â€￾

Had to piss myself laughing, sounds hilarious

Briggs always wants a positive atmosphere. That's when he shows his best work. Plus I think these trainers should just continue telling him what he wants to hear because they'll remain on the payroll.

This is why Briggs loses to Sultan. Sultan isn't shit, but he will outwork lazy ass Briggs.

Just shows the sad state of HW boxing right now:shit:

Briggs should not even train ....
The only thing he should do is run and wind sprints ....

Great idea. Speed drills on a heavybag might help bring his punch rate up from 3 per round.

Rahman has a guy on the payroll to wipe him down during training...another to rub his feet and tie his shoes.

If he catches Sultan, it's light out for him. I don't see ibragimov hurting briggs.

i agree on the first half, not sure about the last part, though. I don't think much of Sultan, but it's like Shannon's never been shook by less.

These guys are both terrible. Sultan is just terrible and is going nowhere. Briggs got a gift over a 2000 year old George Foreman.

Shannon with his chronic fatigue is his own worse enemy. For the life of me I cant figure out why he doesn't become cardio-intensive in his approach to training. I mean he could always bang, but if he can't throw punches because he is tired all the power in the world won't help him.

It's about time you stopped picking European fighters to win. I was getting a bit worried you were a Nazi :eeeek: ,..:bears: but it's a good choice to end the streak, I agree with you, Shannon is going to SMASH his arse in spectacular fashion, I'd pick him to smash Maskaev's arse aswell, Shannon also has a shot at Wlad based on styles, I'd only pick him to lose to Valuev because he's as heavy as a tree with the head of a Tyrannasaurus Rex, and Sam Peter because he's obviously got a sturdy chopping-block himself.

I think there's more to it than lack of cardio.

So, is anyone going to actually order this one?

I'm going to order this. I like punchers and Briggs is about as solid a puncher as any in the heavyweight division.

I saw on fightnews.com that Briggs weighed in at 273, and was supremely cut up. I mean he looked like Mr. Olympia.

How does a "lazy" guy get so cut up and in shape like that? :dunno:

jeff is more quite than his brothers, but he also carries that same mentality. i remember he was co-training Kofi Jantuah for his bout against Ouma, but when Ouma whupped that ass, jeff blamed it on the other trainer then shortly quit the team afterwards.

he also got KOed by a rookie Oscar when he himself had like 20+ fights to Oscar's four or five fights.

Well I am a fairly big guy... I walk around naturally at around 220 when in shape and I don't have asthma but I can tell you this: Whether I get big or fat, the last thing I need is more weight.

this fight has garbage written all over it. hell I would think before watching this for free. no way would I pay for this shit. :nono:

Briggs might gassed after the first round. Sure he he has power but he has to actually throw punches to be exciting.

I can't believe they have the balls to put this on ppv. At least put a decent card to make one consider buying it.

You'd be jumping up and down squealing in fan fair if they were both 200lbs lighter and of Mexican heritage. :crafty:
