i'm not going to do rd by rd of this unless it gets interesting...the russian is a lefty who fights like salita, but thinks he's a puncher

 

puerto rican is a lefty too. some good clean punches landing - acevedo didn't like the punches he tasted - russian is still aggressive. acevedo is looking to stink.

well...russian gets the dq win in the last rd with 12 secs to go...a quick holding pt earlier..and he dq'd him the 2nd time
russian had lost a pt in the 4th rd for an intentional headbutt

its a good thing they didn't bring Gil Clancy back for this commentator job- he would have a hissy fit over the thickness of that guy's beard

 

the russian was ahead on all cards in the 4th...so he would have won, even with the pt deduction...in the first fight

 

very interesting that there are very few open seats with such a weak undercard going on...
anyway...announcers gave hayes moer credit than he deserved in the 1st round...steiglitz winning the 2nd round

 

rd 3...hayes is a perfect come back from a loss opponent...he has sparring partner written all over him
stieglitz has a nice little move where he leaned on top of hayes and then threw some very nice uppercuts with his right hand

rd 4..stieglitz landed a pretty big wide right at the end...bothered hayes

rd 5...again..steiglitz finishes very strong...he'll get the ko, i think...

 

i can't believe Mercer vs. Kimbo is on ppv

 

rd 6...stiglitz short at the begining of the rd as usual...then long...then on...hayes is slow and there's 2 mins to go...stieglitz trying for the ko...
rs does have good handspeed and power, but his accuracy isn't so hot...which is why...as hayes slows...rs does much better...

 

rd 7...rs lands a big one...he wants the ko...nice right by hayes...no effect..

 

rd 8...hayes is helping because he's trying...nice shots by rs that he couldn't land when hayes is being tricky...nice right by stieglitz...stieglitz never has gone back to that uppercut when leaning on top...
