Why the fuck would anyone want to bother watching this when there are more popular fighters active like Hopkins, Winky, Oscar and Floyd? :dunno: who gives a fuck about unpopular fighters who earn meager perces, they're in this position for a reason, they suck, and they're insignificant, and nobody wants to watch them.

margarito will get his due. after he beats Williams and Cotto, nobody will be able to deny his brilliance anymore. plus, after he beats Cotto, PBF will take all kinds of shit for having avoided him. there will be no doubt about it anymore. PBF ducked Margarito, perhaps intelligently, but nontheless.

 

Margarito beats Williams(and believe me Williams isn't a joke, he will be around for a long time) and something tells me we get a great trilogy out of Cotto-Margarito. I think it will be the fight that defines both fighters.:bears:

 

I think their aiming for September for that one, but I could care less. Both are shot to shit, had they fought like 3-4 years ago I'd be excited, but not now.

and i'm not so sure Mayorga is shot. i just don't think he was all that good to begin with. he beat Forrest basically by scaring the shit out of him and intimidating him. and other than that, who has he beaten?

basically, the news on Mayorga is if you don't let him back you up, he's pretty easy to beat. i think the same is true of Miranda.

Mayorga is shot. The two main things he had going for him in his VERY brief "prime", chin and intimidation, are both gone. He never had any skills to speak of, his d always sucked, and his power has always been overrated. Vargas should whup his ass, even know, but Nando's chin is so shitty nowadays that a stiff breeze could knock him over, so I wouldnt be at all surprised to see Mayorga stretch him.

Prime for prime, Vargas would kick his ass no question.

Margarito is now entering his third week of sparring and camp has been much smoother than the one he had for Clottey. His weight has been steady at around 155-157.

remember the ankle is always going to be somewhat troublesome as this has been an injury since Lujuan but they did go out and get another ankle brace that is better suited for him. Other than that no ankle issues to report of

Tony hates all the shit that has been spewed about him by Williams so it's now become personal since from what I gather he and his team were nothing but nice to Williams and his trainer when they were in camp. They even invited him out to PR for the Santos fight.

Tony came into camp with a look I hadn't seen before and has been training very well IMO. They brought in a better mitt guy this time around someone that can actually work different angles and so forth. I had a chance to get Sendai Tanaka, Barrera's mitt man and one of the best in the business, but when the Linares fight was cancelled Tanaka's trip to the US was also.

Sparring has been spirited. Now in his third week.
