Great, that means we can always expect some biased favoritism whenever Tarver's brought up. :cheer: Tarver could move to HW to fight Wlad and you could expect a biased post from Cupey telling us why Tarver would beat him. It never fails to happen.

Everyone and their mother has whupped Tarver in sparring. This is nothing new. Ask Tarver and he'll wont even remember who it is, because there have been so many.

sparring doesn't really mean much. for instance, how many rounds did margarito and williams spar? 2 or 3? don't matter how well williams did, it's different story in a 12 round fight w/ smaller gloves and no head gear.

shit, didnt tarver get whupped by that roy jones impersonator prior to the first jones fight?

also, there was a guy from cintron's camp going on message boards saying how kermit beat hopkins in sparring and this was weeks before the margarito fight.

you're talking about the steroid dude that ended up getting in trouble after that fight, right? I think it was his co-manager, though his name escapes me. It wasn't Marshall Kaufmann (who's actually a class act, which is the exact opposite of that other cat), but whoever Kermit's co-manager was at the time.

But yeah, lots of guys make too much of "getting the best of so and so" in sparring sessions. But that makes them a sparring partner, and such come with sparring partner mentality. That's usually the difference between a talented fighter and a world-class boxer.

yea i forget his name too, but cintron fucked him good from what i hear.

but a lot of people were saying that cintron did well against hopkins in sparring. even hopkins admitted himself during an interview and said that cintron was the real deal.

regardless, if the two actually fought in a match, Cintron would've folded in 3 rounds.

haha, that was so great. I think Kermit has improved a lot as a fighter since then.
