both of them have better skills and better resume's than marciano, and p4p either one wins a 15-0 / 12-0 decision over him
Three B-class fighters and a win over an older DLH in which many many people thought he lost ... Gee , really sounds great ...
if castillo and corrales are B level fighters at 130 and 135, then a 40 year old Walcott is a C level fighter
Castillo and Corrales will be defined by their fights with each other, not their losses to Mayweather.
The hate for Marciano is awesome, I'm glad I got stuck with this screen name and chose this avatar just to reveal the biases and stupidity of others.
This was a topic about Whitaker vs Mayweather, I posted my opinion concerning Whitaker vs Mayweather. You see a Rocky Marciano (whom I KNOW you hate) avatar and lose all common sense and abillity to function and try to tell me Marciano's resume sucks. Thanks for the info, you've been very helpful and unbiased like I'm sure you always are.
Mayweather is generally more aggressive (and therefore more hittable) against southpaws. Whitaker had a pretty good workrate and was excellent at countering. Although the fight would be tactical, it probably wouldn't be a snoozer.
I go back and forth on this one all the time... But usually I net out at liking Whitaker in a very close fight. Whitaker is the consummate southpaw - and those are fighters Mayweather struggles with (or at least, looks less dominant than usual). Additionally, Pernell's slightly smaller size and compactness help him in this fight as his feet are just as fast as Mayweather's and he can get inside where Whitaker gets off his shots quicker and more compactly than Floyd does. I think he takes Floyd's jab away and that Pernell's 1-2 and the counter right hook bother Mayweather. It's all about who forces who to fight/commit first - and I see Whitaker winning that battle. Whitaker by MD. Peace.
