ODLH: "Freddie Roach is a great trainer let me tell you. The reason I didn't listen to what he was telling me in my corner was because I couldn't do what he was telling me to do. I think I have a few too many miles on this motor and injuries kept me from doing what I really wanted to do and therefore, that's why I stopped using my jab. But that's a whole different story, but Freddie Roach is a great, great trainer."

ODLH: "I don't think people really know. It's no secret that I have two torn rotator cuffs on my left and my right shoulder. That should be no secret. I have arthritis on both my left and right elbows. My hand didn't give me any problem, which was great, but there were several little things that prevented me from performing at the highest level and I felt that disappointment after the fight."

What's your name: Millie De La Hoya?

List SEVEN rounds that Oscar won in that fight. Come on...let's us read them and laugh.

Floyd won, (without any doubt at all) rounds 1,5,8,9,10,11...AT LEAST. That's SIX rounds AT LEAST..and that's IF you want to give Oscar the benefit of the doubt for any close/disputed rounds.

I thought he also won round 12 and possibly round 3 as well.

What SEVEN rounds did you have Oscar winning????:dunno:

What a warrior DLH is. 2 torn rotator cuffs, 2 bad elbows, SEVERAL little things and he's still there in the ring trying to bully Floyd Mayweather. I still wonder how he made it to the ring. :bears:

Delahoya does have alot of wear and tear. We all can agree Oscar was not in his prime when he fought Floyd. And to the suprise of many Oscar did pretty good.

Wasnt it on this board that there was close to a 50/50 split on who people thought would win?

What is surprising is that 6 years ago Floyd stated he wanted to fight DLH and he would beat him. Even the biggest Floyd nuthuggers said there was no way that it would happen. DLH is WAY too big for Floyd.

Yeah, Floyd's smaller, and IMO, really has no business at 154. We've seen what happens when other guys (like Oscar) fight at a division where they really don't belong.

For that, I give Mayweather credit for beating a bigger guy. Because otherwise, his win wasn't much of a big deal at all. Oscar's not been active, aging, and other guys have beaten him far more impressively than Floyd did.

Yeah, him and Richard couldn't take a bit away from that $50 mil they say they spent on advertising the fight, or the massive payday that Oscar got, to give us a better undercard than one featuring Rocky "The Featherweight Dominick Guinn" Juarez?

Being a capitalist and trying to make as much $$ is one thing, just don't yap about "we're going to save boxing".

    Ah come on, who doesn't?

They both seem to be full of it.

Make NO Mistake about it,Floyd Mayweather IS Full of Shit HIMSELF...

His Whole "Retirement" Ordeal is a Fucking JOKE...

But N Terms of Bending Over Backwards to Play the Good Guy Role,to APPEAL to People to LIKE him,to Make Sure EVERY Word is REHEARSED w/the Intent of IMPRESSING the Most People & Coming Off as a Goodie two Shoes,DeLa is 110% More FAKE than Floyd...

Floyd couldn't Care LESS What People Think of him...He's a PRICK just like DeLa,but he's ALOT more GENUNINE N his PRICKdom...

Exactly. You know what you get up front w/ Floyd, even though he's not above telling a lie or 2(00) himself. With Oscar, you have to naturally assume that everything he says is bullshit.

Both were well-schooled by Arum, I'll give 'em that.

Oscar is also way richer and more successful than Floyd. The honest truth is Oscar is just a far better business man than Floyd.

You had a good post going until this. Floyd is every bit as phony as Oscar is. They're a draw in that respect.

Floyd's a guy charged mutliple times with abusing women and yet the first thing he talks about on talk shows are his "feeding battered women." perhaps he means the dollar bills he tries to shove up their thongs.

Oscar supports children causes, but also uses them as a dating service.

The bottom line is, everything about Floyd's "flashy" and "look at me" demeanor is as phony as Oscar's "I'm a good guy" act.

I disagree with this Jake. You don't know what you'll get with Floyd.

Floyd keeps it "real" and yet throughout the process of trying to GET the fight with Oscar, Floyd and his mouth were MIA. He cried, then disappeared.

"Real" doesn't pick and choose when it appears.
