According to Dan Rafael, if Holyfield is successful against Lou Savarese later this month, his next bout would be against Ibragimov for his WBO Heavyweight Championship.

He has a good shot at him if he gets by Lou.

Probably the best possible option for Ibragimov.

It is a possibility, Ill just say that Evander and Ronnie where VERY happy when they watched the Sultan-Briggs fight but imho I am against it, I think Sultan is too much of a risk for a title that Evander really isnt interested in.

Holyfield can't throw more than 10 punches per round. He looked like ultra sh*t against Oquendo. I'm still surprised how he got that decision.

Sultan can't fight at all, Mike.
A very poor fighter in terms of fundamentals and about 900 other topics I could get into if I had the time tonight.

Great post there from a real fighter, I'll tell ya.
    Sultan is terrrible, bottom line.
I can guarantee you folks this much, if someone came up to me and offered me 100 Grand to take this tomato can on...I'll last more than 58 seconds, and hit him back a few times as well, with some a lot harder than he expects.

So you'll probably do better than Evander will.

Easy win for Sultan. Should be entertaining too, because you can't miss old man Holyfield these days.

You are correct in that you can't miss Evander.
Oquendo snatched defeat from the jaws of victory as Holyfield was shot after round five, but Fres was too scared of him to press the advantage.

Well, like most people, I think Oquendo was robbe din that fight. As bad as it was and as bad as Fres was; he was the lesser of two evils in that ring, IMO.

And yes, I think Ray Austin beats Evander rather well, REED. Austin beat the guy who shut Evander out. Larry Donald.

look I'm not gonna defend a guy who should've lost to Ray Austin (who's terrrrrrrrible) but not me, not you, not anyone else on this board would last a minute against any HW world champion, thats insulting. (except the pro fighters, maybe)

Except Steve_Dave who would right hook him into submission from an orthodox stance

Ibragimov was the one who got the short end of that draw, IMO. He won by about two or three rounds.

perhaps, but being in a close fight with ray austin is right up there with misspelling your own name on the "resume don'ts" list

Ray Austin beat Larry Donald, who shutout Evander and beat Valuev. He's a decent fighter in this day and age.

I've got a hand held version of that fight from buttfuck USA and at no point was Austin "nearly KOed". It was actually a reasonably entertaining fight for two average guys.

I didn't think Donald in any way got shafted by that decision. Quite the contrary actually.

I dont believe you, why dont you upload some pics of the "Heldheld version from buttfuck USA".
And if you do have it, thats fine, we seen the fight different and if you think that Austin wasnt hurt then you didnt pay attention if you did actually see the fight.
Even Ray's cutman told me that he was hurt bad in like the 7th round.

Like I give a shit if you believe me. You think you and that drunkard Ty have access to the only footage out there, hombre?

How would you like me to upload these pics anyway?

And the word is "handheld", not "heldheld" as in, its on a DV tape.

If you seen it then fine, like I said before but I am telling you that when I seen Larry's copy I thought he won.

No issue there. I've got no problem in someone scoring a fight different to me. Someone calling me a liar is a silly way to go about disagreeing with someone though.

I don´t know what is more disturbing, that Evander Holyfield gets another title shot or that people make an extra effort to get a handheld version of Ray Austin vs. Larry Donald. :tease: :tease:

Ibragimov has good handspeed and will look like a million bucks against Holyfield.
