So Jimmy Lennon Jr. with the scores in turkish or maybe not.

    120-109
    120-108 (2x) Gomez

Gomez says 2-3 more fights and he´s ready for Wlad. Good luck with that.

Good strategy if the other fights happen to be against the other champs first.

10-9 Sam, Sam landed a couple of overhand rights that went MIA after Danny Williams.

20-18 Sam, fairly close round. Gave it to Sam for a three punch combo in the middle of the round.

McCall is flexing and posing in the ring, I´m not sure, if it is smart to taunt the turkish fans.

    WBC Open Scoring:

    39-37 Sam
    38-38
    37-39 McCall

I have it 49-47 Sam now. Pretty uneventful fifth round.

Doctor took a long look at Sam´s cut, but fight continues. Sam pushes in the 6th to get ahead on the scorecards.

    59-56 Sam.

    fucking wbc open scoring.
As much as I like Sheridan, his sticking up for Sulaiman on this issue is annoying as hell. Sheridan excuses it, while not supporting it, by just saying Sulaiman was trying to do something.
Guess what? Doing something wrong is usually worse than doing nothing.

68-66 Sam, good round for McCall. Sam is bothered by the cut. Ref warns Sam, that he should stop turning around.

Don´t know the exact scores after eight, but two judges have Sam ahead, one has McCall, probably 77-75.

    86-86 after nine rounds.

McCall lands some huge right hands, Sam on a bit of unsteady legs. His eye is almost closed.

    106-104 McCall

    Here we go:

    114-113
    115-112 (2x)

Unanimous decision for the winner and NEW WBC mandatory challenger Oliver McCall. I must have missed a deduction or they gave McCall a 10-8 in the 11th.

McCall can now wait in line for his shot at the WBC title...which should take a while.

Not that it's likely, but I actually wouldn't mind seeing McCall-Maskaev II, just not as a title fight.

Looks like Solis has some serious power. Knocked out Mazikin in the first round. Solis might be the real deal. Maybe Povetkin and Solis will turn the shithole upside down in the next two years.

I know that Oliver McCall has already pissed away his "second chance" many times over, but at the same time I'm happy to see him get a big win (well, big for him anyway).

Oliver went through Maskaev like a hot knife through butter.
A rematch should be very interesting as I think Oleg is a much smarter fighter now.
Oliver has always been one of my favorites, and he is a nice guy as well.
I talked to him at the Stardust in Vegas when the late wrestler Big John Studd was managing him, and he was fresh off a win over then undefeated if memory serves me correct, Bruce Seldon.

It looks like there will be a rematch.

    Fightnews:
McCall: I'll give Sam a rematch!“
After beating Sinan Samil Sam in his hometown Ankara, new WBC International champion 'The Atomic Bull' Oliver McCall promised 'The Bull from the Bosporus' a rematch. "It was a tough fight," said McCall. "Sam did not step back though he was seriously injured. I will give him a rematch wherever he wants, either Ankara or maybe Istanbul." Sam’s manager Ahmet Öner added "There will definitely be a rematch. We have an option in the fight contract and we will make use of it."
