I'm gonna say Hatton by unanimous decision because the ref lets him throw two punches and hold all night long.

(But if the ref keeps him from doing that he's getting knocked out.)

    Hatton UD

See Hatton getting a fair bit of success early on, using the jab and moving. I have little doubt that he'll try a repeat of his tactics and performance against Tackie...this will be a lot harder to carry out.

Castillo tends to finish well, Hatton has tired recently late on...Castillo may hurt Hatton late but i think the Hitman will hold on and 'clinch' victory.

If Hatton can show the kind of drive and sustainability that wore down Tszyu, perhaps the fight wont be as close and maybe he can even force a stoppage especially if Castillo shows little or no improvement from his last fight.

Yes. Hatton has declined further and further IMO. The Hatton that fought Urango IMO was not very good.

I would sig bet your ass because Castillo will really be the stronger fighter thatnight but I don't trust the judges and can only hope the ref can do his job.

I might sig bet your ass anyway, who is the ref for the fight? What do yu say? Lets do it.

If I win you have to say that David Leeder is a rockstar poster and you take your direction from him on matters of the heart. What should mine say?

Hatton by late round stoppage. Castillo is shot (confirmed by Ngoudjo-Bailey), and his struggles with weight won't make matters any better. Hatton outworks, wears out, and eventually puts away a listless Castillo in a one sided bout. Though, I'm praying for a Castillo KO.

I like Hatton in this fight.

I think the Castillo camp is (rightfully) going to make a big deal about all of Hatton's holding, but it'll ending up benefiting Ricky. I think Hatton stands a far better chance if he is coming in and out and letting his hands go than if he were to just grapple on the inside with the savvy vet Castillo.

I don't know who the ref is, but if they happen to get Nady for this fight and he breaks them like Jones-Ruiz, we could have a really exciting fight on our hands.

I have never liked Nady, but in this instance he might be our best bet at a good fight.

I think Hatton is forced to fight in this one, and it'll end up making the difference for him in a rugged decision.

I think that Castillo will wear him down to the body. Hatton likes to try to rough up people on the inside, but he'll have his hands full with Castillo.

My predictions on these 3 were better than yours and mine weren't even that good.

Hatton UD in an unspectacular affair. Scores will be something like 116-112. Close but clear, and ugly as all hell.

i don't really see what Ngoudju/Bailey proves. i'll admit, i was super drunk when i saw the fight, but Bailey is a different animal all together from Castillo. he has better hand-speed, and he moves a lot. plus, he hits harder.

plus, Castillo/Ngoudju wasn't nearly as close as the HBO crew (and specifically Lederman who can't score a fight at all but somehow guides the broad-cast with his silly tally) would have you believe.

Castillo got in there and traded with Ngoudju, and at times was made to look bad by Ngoudju's hand-speed, but make no mistake, he got the better of Herman, and landed the much cleaner stuff.

he doesn't suck. he's not the killer we once thought he might be, but he's still no easy fight. actually, i was amazed at how easily Cotto handled him, and he even took Bailey's best shot on the chin and didn't even flinch.

nevertheless, for a guy like Ngoudju, Bailey presents problems because of his style and hand-speed. and power.

i'm just sayin i think it's ill-advised to handicap Castillo/Hatton based on Ngoudju/Bailey. i just see no relevance really.

I'd like to think of Castillo as being on a much higher level than Randall Bailey. Seeing him struggle with someone who Bailey fought on even terms (arguably even beat) doesn't sit well with me. Also doesn't help knowing this very same fighter he struggled with was, worn down, dropped, and nearly finished by Emanuel Augustus. Sure, it could have been a case of styles making fights, but I'm leaning towards it being Castillo being past his best. I also think the Rolando Reyes fight should be taken into account.

I disagree. I watched the fight again two nights ago and scored it for Castillo by one point, and that's only because I scored one round 10-10.

I disagree once again. Ngoudjo was the one landing the cleaner blows all night. Castillo was having a hard time getting through Ngoudjo's guard, and mainly landed cleanly to the body. While Ngoudjo was landing pretty much whenever he was letting his hands go and couldn't miss with his jab.

Something tells me the name of this fight should be changed from "The War" to "Let's Hug It Out Bitches."

bigdawg has never rooted for the white guy...........he once had David Tua as a top 3 heavyweight when he had Vitali and Wladimir to choose from. He also picked Zab Judah to beat Kostya Tszyu "{Tszyu is in a world of hurt} were his very words.

So don't bet on "bigdawgs" uh, "predictions"...they are usually very very skewed. Wlad could be fighting Buckwheat in the morning, and bigdawg would have his money on Buckwheat.

Reed, you dumb shit, if a guy is a racist, he's a racist. Period. There is no such thing as "he's a bigger racist" or he is "more racist".....and there's no such thing as "opposite racism" either. The word, you NAACP confused motherfucker, is racism. End of story.

And, PS.....I only pick who I think is going to win. Not who I hope wins. Thats a difference you missed.

I hope Hatton wins, but I also think Hatton wins.

I hope Abraham beats Miranda.....and I believed he would. I also hope he beats your latest white whipping boy, Cracker Pavlik. How very Aryan of me.:flip:
