Yep, just as I expected. USA team struggled badly with Belarus.
I'm actually a Belorussian native and boxing is one of the least popular sports over there.......The entire country has 10 million people, and maybe around a 100 or so boxers.......Wait until Tajiki powerhouse steamrolls through Yanez....I just hope Luis doesn't suffer permananent psychological damage after Tajiki beast is done with him.

But Charlie was on a Fucking MISSION @ the U.S. Championships...N 4-5 Fights,he had like 2-3 KO's...Andrade Didn't have to Fight,but he was There "Scouting"...

REED, judging by the link you just provided, US national team just got beaten on its own turf by BELARUS. To give a perspective, the enitre Belarus population is about 50% more than that of Dallas.
Think about it, Reed, what if Dallas' best fighters team took on the entire American national team and kicked its ass? How sad and pathetic would that be?

 

True. Tajikistan government also promised two cows to any fighter who wins Olympics Games......And for knocking out an American boxer, they throw in a sheep, to sweeten the pot. With incentives likes that, Luis is a toast.

Other than that, there are many hopefulls that haven't really won anything of note yet.

 

The Russian will turn pro at 29 then have a slightly better career than Mohammad Abdullaev.

Hatley will win titles at 160 & 168 but will never be a dominant champion, in the P4P discussion and will make a total of $3 million in total career earnings.

 

Jacobs is a really talented, though he did get dropped in the fight I saw him at live.

Haven't seen Ali, but he did beat Stan Martyniouk, who is probably the best amateur fighter around here...from the Sacramento area.

 

REED has a Tape of Jacobs @ the '05 or '06 National Gloves...
