Hopefully he uses the 10 oz and not 8 oz bullets, they might not do as much damage.

Nah, I dont think so. I actually said out loud, "stay down-this is not worth the aggravation."

Joe Cortez sucked tonight as well.

    He CERTAINLY Embarrassed HIMSELF...

But it's HARD for 1 Man to Embarrass an ENTIRE Race,No Matter HOW Shitty he "Performed"...

This was Castillo's GOLDEN Opportunity to Make his MARK Amongst his PEERs,but he FAILED MISERABLY...

Henceforth,he'll B Known as the Guy that Gave Floyd a Tough Fight,Got KO'ed by Chico N a CLASSIC Fight & Got DOMINATED by Ricky Hatton...

Exactly. That was a real body punch by a body puncher.

No, De La Pollo took a blatant dive! That Hop body shot couldnt have dropped my lil sister! The body shot Hatton landed WAS big time, and Castillo was very hurt by it. What bothered me though was how emotionless Castillo looked on his knee, and when Cortez counted him out. He looked like he really didnt care at all. Had he summoned up all his heart, I think he coulda beat the count, but he looked like he just had no desire to do so. I dont think it was he was so much shot, he just looked uninspired in there.

But Oscar's 'agonizing' performance was worth of an Academy Award!:bears:

Yeah, if you combined Hatton's punch with Oscar's act it would have been much more fitting.

Same with Hopkins' punch and JLC's reaction.

Somehow the scripts got mixed up.

:stir: You can hear someone screaming a minute before that shot landed...BODY SHOT...BODY SHOT....BODY SHOT....and before the round start Hopkins was saying "my round, this is my round".......FIX..FIX>...>ED

I am suprised that HBO did an Castillo fight without even mentioning the expession "weight drained". They said through, shot and done. But not even a mention of weight. Are they familar with Castillo?

Honestly, I don't think JLC could have gotten up. However his was probably thinking: "Well, if I get up, I'll get more of the same in the same spot...FUCK THAT."

That was a legit shot. Every time Hatton pulled out of an exchange he finished with the left rip to the body. It was just a matter of time.

Spot on, and that was a paralysis shot like Gatti hit the Canadian kid with, and completely unlike the arm punch "shot" that Hopkins "KO'd" Oscar with.

Castillo, like his hero Chavez before him, looked for a chance to hit the canvas and stay there against a young fresh active fighter.

Hatton is a gamer, and a guy who not only genuinely cares for his fans, but wants to be the biggest thing in boxing. Dude's got a style that I really can't see anyone solving at 140, except MAYBE Floyd if he moves down. I'd look for Hatton to dominate his top tier opponents at 140 for a long while.

at 140 hatton is certainly a more impressive victory for mayweather than mosley is at 147 at this point in their respective careers.

This fight reminded me of the other "El Terrible" after the third Pacquiao fight.

A fighter knows when he's done, epsecially when they're in against younger, stronger, more determined fighters...as they once were.

Castillo and Morales have had two of the toughest resumes of world class fighters in this era and they've helped carry Top Rank on their backs for a lot of years. That, combined with their styles, was bound to catch up with both at some point.

I have tremendous respect for the careers of both fighters, because of not only who they fought, but the way in which they fought.

was a legit shot for sure........but i think a number of things discouraged Castillo and took away some heart that would have caused him to stand ie Hatton's style, losing all the rounds, Hatton being stronger, the crowd, bs point deduction etc

There is NO SUCH THING as the Mexican "RACE"

There are black mexicans, white mexicans, Mestizo, Indians, you name it.,

You don't have a Country, You don't have a Race, and now, it appears, you can't fight either.

    Ricky "Conquistador" Hatton.
