    True or untrue?

How long until this confirmed? Because I would go to this in a heartbeat. Close (relatively), have places to crash and know filipino's and steve_dave would go.

Should be a knock em down drag em out scrap. I'd favor Pacman but don't listen to steve_dave he's going to come in here hyping up Soto.

Soto is fairly big and strong but he's not as fast or as direct as Pacman.

Anyways, whenever this gets confirmed or something changes post it in this thread.

Bobby had Soto on queer street with a sloppy slow hook. Kevin Kelley soundly outboxed Soto.

I think Soto is good, and he would give MAB or Fagquez a good scrap, but I have the feeling Manny is a bit too much for him even now.

what is the point of this fight? I forgot it's all Arum can deliver. And since Soto is the 13th guy to defeat bobby that earned him a fight at Manny.:bears:

    Pacquiao KO 8:cool:

Just like he did Chris John and Freddie Norwood? :dunno:

Soto is a credible opponent but I agree it's a stretch to say he'd beat Pac, but he's a live underdog.

Who is JMM aching to fight again to prove his dominance? Oh yeah, MAB.

a better question is why isn't Pacquiao fighting Guzman? Arum gave him an offer and later on said he priced himself out. Guzman publicly denied that and said he acepted Arum's offer and he was ready for Pacquiao.

so why isn't that fight happening? Guzman is an undefeated two division champ with better skills than Soto.

or maybe that's why he didn't get the fight.:dunno:

Guzman can't even make 135, how is he going to make 130? Fat boy would pull out of the fight like he's done before with other world champions and leave Pacquiao without an opponent.

Soto is 10 times more credible than Jorge Barrios.

no he wasn't. Barrios beat his ass and put him on his ass twice. Freitas landed a punch after the final bell that should have not counted. That's how he won by way of gift.

still I don't like Barrios for a JMM oponent. But at least I admit it. You clowns act like Soto is so proven yet he didn't acomplish shit at 126 or 130 so far.

He is fighting Manny cause Arum promotes him tha'ts all. You can pretend it's the fight to make at 130 but it's bullshit.

12 fighters beat Bobby before Soto yet when Soto does it it's a big deal? :dunno:

at least Barrios won a belt at 130. soto didn't even do that yet at 126 or 130. he also lost a couple of times against nobodies.

Barios is on the DOWNSIDE of his career. Soto is 27 and on the upswing of his career. Belts mean SHIT when one fighter is obviously shot.

I can't believe you're actually trying to defend Barios as a credible opponent.

when did I say he was a credible oponent? I said from the beginning I didn't like Barrios for JMM. After beating Barrer it's a step backwards.

But comparing acomplishments Barrios has done more than Soto. Soto may be younger but he got a couple of losses. you act like he is some undefeated prospect turned contender.

I like Soto and he is a good fighter but you overrate him just cause the fight is done with Pacquiao. He is the less proven fighter at 130.

Juarez was supposed to fight Chi for the title, but Chi got hurt and Soto stepped in and beat Juarez way easier than MAB did.

You are seriously lost LATIN QUEER. :notallthere:

Barrios is shot as hell, and was soundly out gutted by Popo The Quitter. Soto is a young dangerous veteran with power and skill. Soto would mutilate Fagquez and Barrios on the same night, there's no comparison as to which opponent is more credible and meaningful at this point in time.

Soto's TOUGH & GRITTY,but that's Not Nearly Enough to Defeat Manny Pac...

    Plus,Soto's Defense SUCKS...

Manny Pac by KO, 4 or 5 Rounds...

Barrios shot? Barrios shit? Soto shit?

They are both probable top 10 guys and both credible. The Soto that lost to Kelley hasn't been seen since and Barrios' losses to Freitas and Guzman are completely forgivable as they are both excellent fighters.

What exactly has Barrios accomplished that makes him such a better figher than Soto?

He ALMOST beat Freitas. Bottom line, he lost.
He ALMOST beat Guzman. Bottom line, he lost.

    He did KO Mike Anchondo.

    That's about it.

At least Soto clearly defeated Rocky Juarez (who, in turn, almost defeated Barrera).

    Juarez > Anchondo.
