I think its competitive and tight, but PRIME Roy at his best at 175 still beats any version of Bernard.

RJ was just too gifted. Hopkins is great but a prime RJ was simply better. Good fight though.

Same result as their fight @ 160, i think Roy would probably win even more impressively at light-heavy.

Roy would have always beaten Hopkins. He'd always be a bad styles matchup for B-Hop, hell maybe even NOW. Not to say I'd favor Roy over Hop at this point, but he'd still give him problems. Prime for prime Roy beats B-Hop the same way he did in 93. People always use the excuse that Hop hadnt reached his prime yet when Roy beat him, but neither had Roy. RJ didnt hit his prime IMO still around 94 when he blew away Tate, then beat Toney.

Now..Bernard will beat the hell out of Roy, as he would ANY post-Ruiz version of Roy.

Prime Roy Jones vs The Hopkins that beat Tarver?

    Jones 8-4

The fact hat Hopkins would win FOUR rounds against THAT Roy is a testament to how good Hopkins is. Guys like Hearns Leonard and Hagler would have been utterly DOMINATED by roy at 175lbs.

Ummm...how is it a "fact" that Hopkins would win 4 rounds in an imaginary fight??:tease:

Stylewise I think Hearns coulda given Roy trouble, only I have serious doubts about Tommy's chin holding up under Roy's power.

All doubts regarding that are removed from my mind...
