Jermaine will move around and sock him with his superior jab, and then time him with his right hand, Pavlik leaves the gate wiiiide open, and Jermaine won't hesitate to shoot a few sets through the dog flap, he has already beaten this bum in the amatuers, he more or less knows the blue-print, Jermaine has all the superior fundamentals, skills, speed and athleticism, there is a DRASTIC contrast in boxing intelligence between Miranda and Taylor, all you uncle tom's are in biiiiiiiig trouble, and Taylor has extra motivation to perform well given his last two dissapointing performances.

That's the way I see it, I see Pavlik taking some good shots coming in, but he tears Taylor up and stops him.
Taylor couldn't keep jr. middleweights off with his jab, much less a big bruiser like Pavlik.
    Kelly by brutal TKO.

    Very optimistic.

Pavlike gets hit way too much and against a fighter with fast hands and sharp punches like Taylor (and a man who'll be taking him very seriously indeed) that's suicide.

Taylor will cut this man to shreds and stop him by the 11th.

Then when Jermaine's finished rolling his rubber mushroom around the buzz and vibrato of Pavlik's lips, he'll jump up and crack Abraham's glass jaw in his dreams, as....Wilfired Sauerland turns him down in place of a "voluntary defence" ofcourse, fucken ofcourse, you really think Taylor / Abraham will happen?..do you know who Wilfried Sauerland is?..creator of the undefeated 'Sven Ottke',...after Sven retired he brought his replacement Markus Beyer, a championship?...... who the fuck in thier right mind would deal with that?

I will sig bet anyone that Pavlik wins. Taylor fights scared. He will be petrified when he gets a Pavlik straight right in his face.

:bears: :bears: I will never doubt another word you say.. This is EXACTLY the way I see it..

It's easy to under estimate Taylor's skill, but you don't fight on even ground with Winky and Bernard for 36 rounds by accident.. Ask Tarver..

Good point.. But I'll take the good from all 5 fights and point to Taylor's ZERO in the loss column despite struggling.

If this happens, you and I are definitely going to hook up a sig bet.

I said it after the Pavlik-Miranda fight and I'll say it again, Taylor cant miss with a straight right all night, I hope these odds are in Pavliks favor, cuz this will be some coin in my wallet.

Pavlik is wide open for the right hand, loopy or straight, and the straight right of Taylors is enough to get the job done, this fight can be won with a good jab, right hand possibly a strraight right to the body on occasion and a timed right uppercut could even end it

The opposite is also true. Taylor's defense is SHIT! As athletic as he is, you'd think he'd be hard to hit, but he's not. Kelly is far from being the quickest guy around, but he's rangy enough to find Taylor with his right hand. This fight IMO is coming down who's stronger, and more durable, which is why I'm picking Pavlik.

Neither Winky nor Hop hit as hard as Kelly, are as aggressive as Kelly, and both are/were long in the tooth when Jermain fought them. And personally, I thought he went 0-3 in those fights.

Pavlik will win, either by UD or late TKO. Just MO. I'm not picking this way cause I hate Taylor, I NEVER let my love/hate for a fighter cloud my pick of a fight(except when Tyson fought Lummox). If Jermain wins I'll give him full credit. And he CAN win, but he's gonna have to put together all his skills, and prove he can take a punch.

Either way, it should be a very good fight, which is really all that I care about. Pavlik will force Taylor to have to fight. Whether this will work in favor, or against Taylor, we'll find out.

    Exactly...

    Pavlik is a BIG,STRONG,YOUNG,PUNCHER...

    & He's a TRUE Middlweight...A BIG Middleweight...

Like U Said,Taylor CAN Win,but he's Gonna have to Weather MORE ADVERSITY N this Fight than ANY Other, thus Far...

Pavlik will GLADLY take the Chances that Bernard was Toooooooooo OLD or Tooooooooooo RELUCTANT to Take...& Pavlik's Gonna TOUCH Taylor MUCH HARDER than Winky or Bernard EVER did...

The BEAUTY of this Fight for Taylor is that he'll INSTANTLY Get the Critics OFF his Back if he Wins...Like U,REED will Relax on the Taylor Bashing for a Minute,if he BEATS Pavlik w/Out Controversy...

People Talk about Taylor's Right Hand, but he OVERshoots that Right Hand MORE than he LANDS it...As Loooooooong as Pavlik Bobs & Weaves,he CAN Make Taylor MISS that Punch...

& REED Isn't Sold on Taylor's "Speed" or "Athleticism",Either...Sure,those Traits were Apparent against INFERIOR Opposition, but Since Taylor has Faced WORLD CLASS Opposition,he's Looked Borderline CLUMSY to REED...

& his "Speed" has All but Disappeared as Well...Not to Mention his JAB...

YES,Taylor will have QUICKER Hands than Pavlik, but it WOULDN'T Surprise REED if Pavlik is MORE Coordinated or has BETTER Balance...

Pavlik also proved that he can TAKE a shot as well. I wouldn't be too concerned with Taylor's punching power considering he hasn't knocked anyone down or seriously hurt anyone in how many fights now? :dunno:

miranda had no steam in his punches. the dude barely made weight. i still dont see what all this hype is about. the guy has one impressive win and all of a sudden he's the man. i think abraham beats him.

Miranda is at least a middleweight and even though Zuniga was/is a bum, he's a physically strong guy.

On the other hand, I didn't see Winky, Ouma or Spinks having issues with Taylor's power.

taylor punched hard enough to keep hopkins at bay. winky took a lot of shots, but winky's one of the toughest guys in the sport. same goes for ouma. spinks didnt get hit clean and usually doesn't fighting the way he does.

if pavlik comes straight at him and leaves himself open, taylor will catch him and hurt him.

we'll see though. i'd personally would like to see pavlik get showcased once more. i think it would be a much bigger fight if people knew who pavlik was.

On the flipside, if Taylor goes straight back with his hands down where his poor footwork doesn't allow him to counter, he gets drilled by Pavlik's straighter right hand.

The "onliest" way Taylor can catch Pavlik coming in is if he's willing to set his feet and throw. His fights over the past few years have proven that he's not willing to do so.

Second, Taylor didn't "keep Hopkins at bay." Hopkins has always fought cautiously dating back to the Trinidad fight. The last fight Hopkins smothered and mugged someone was the Joppy fight.

Hell, Hopkins didn't rush in and fight physical with Oscar.

The best chance Taylor has to beat Pavlik is to clean him up with a lefthook Pavlik doesn't see.

"However" Taylor's footwork and balance is so awful, he's rarely in position to throw a lefthook and he's almost never in position to counter.

maybe im just not too big on pavlik.

i think taylor is a very hard fighter to beat. as athletic as he is, he's also very unorthodox, but it's his inconsistent style that makes him so difficult to overcome.

in the end, he refuses to lose. he also knows how to react to adversity.

i think he's better than what people give him credit for.
