Kimbo after beating Mercer celebrates his victory in the cage then makes a call out to Tank Abbot to get it on. Tank walks up to the fence on the outside and screams "Let's go to the Parking Lot right now!" :: Kimbo vs Tank is on.....September 14. A good fight for the drunks. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2dagh_kimbo-slice-vs-tank-abbott
Which is somewhat sad considering that Tank Abbot has a pedigree, although it may seem laughable, where he's competed with some top level fighters over the past 12 years or so in MMA and often at times given a decent showing(for him). Not to mention has a boxing/wrestling background to an extent whereas Kimbo is a street-boxer who's only been training in MMA for 8 weeks. Common sense would have you believe that the experienced guy who's been around and trained in MMA should have the advantage. But since Tank Abbot's method of training is seeing how fast he can gulp down 5 beers, I'd say it's a pretty even match. You're right.
Funny thing is Kimbo was about to say "he can do two niggas in one day" meaning he can fight twice but he quickly cut himself off and replaced niggas with dudes ... Kimbo trying to be proffesional ... ::
what I respect about abbot is that he's never feared anybody. He'll fight Klitschko for free if he have to.
I agree. I think Tank eats Kimbo alive inside the first round. Kimbo is a joke, and gets stretched by the entire season of Ultimate Fighter for the HW's.
I watched UFC 45 recently, when he got his ass kicked by that fat Hawaiian guy. The commentators reffered to him as the "legendary" Tank Abbott. :dunno: those early ufc's were a joke though, most of them did not look like actual athletes, but toughmen contestants with beer bellies. The majority of those guys would never make the ufc these days.
He's sure as hell not a legend based on his accomplishments. I mean I guess he's a legend in that he was one of the first UFC fighters, but he still wasn't good.
Fat Hawaiian guy? You're referring to Cabbage Correira. Did you see their rematch? Tank Abbott knocked him into near unconsciousness with 1 punch.
I think Kimbo can beat Tank Abbott. Abbott was never very good, even when he was in his prime. He became a star because of his look, his style and his outspoken personality, not because of any fighting skills he ever had. Abbott has never had any ground skills, and someone with minimal MMA training, which describes Kimbo, can get the best of Abbott if he gets him to the ground. And Abbott, just like Mercer, is only still fighting just to get a check, not to be competative. He doesn't even bother to get in shape, as witnessed in this fight. http://www.facko.com/kimbo-slice-vs-ray-mercer-fight-video/ TFK
