REED Got the Opportunity to Interview Curry ON ACCIDENT...

REED was @ some Low-Budget Show & Noticed a Vaguely Familiar Face,Sitting Off N a Corner,by Himself,Prior to the Show Starting...

REED Walked by him 1nce & Kept Going...But it was Obvious to REED that it was Donald Curry...

Fortunately,REED Carries a Camera & a Voice Recorder to EVERY Show...So when REED Walked by Curry Again,he had his Bag w/his Tools in It:: ....

Curry was VERY Accomodating...He Thoroughly Enjoyed the Attention & Reminiscing on his Career...Fans Noticed REED Interviewing him & Taking Pics,then they Came Over for Autographs...Curry had a Big Ass Grin on his Face the Whole Time...

For YEARS,REED had Been Trying to Interview Curry...Damn Near EVERYBODY N DFW Claims to "Know" him,yet NOBODY had a Way of REACHING him...

So Needless to Say,it was QUITE a Surprise to REED,Meeting the Cat the way we Did...

Curry was a fine fighter, one of the top ten champions IMO of the early-mid 80's.
And that was no easy period, then.

Curry is one of my favorites.

His destruction of McCory was brilliant and beautiful to watch.

 

It was an excellent interview REED. Only thing that woulda made it better is if you had asked him how he thinks he woulda matched up in his prime vs DLH, Floyd, Shane, ect.

Theres no doubt that Curry's a homo. But who cares, he's always been such a nice and humble guy, let him be.

 

Karl, I seem to recallthat you once said tht you had a sparring session with Curry when you were an amateur boxer.
