I posted my list, what's yours look like? Something like this I'd presume:

    1. Wlad Klitscko
    2. Manny Pacquai
    3. Jermain Taylor
    4. Ricky Hatton
    5. Winky Wright

I was going to put Mayweather down here for ya but I heard him say that he was retiring so if that's the case then I figured today's more modern fighters could certainly whoop his ass.

    Both were wonderful fighters.
Had Benitez bothered to train for that fight (Papa Gregorio yanked him out of a Las Vegas Disco (The Plush Horse) at 2 AM the morning of the fight) IMO he would have won.
Leonard IMO rates historically higher than "The Dragon."

My list has a biase towards guys I have seen but this is not an absolute biase. And the list is based on guys who were unbeatable at the top of their game, not the greatest fighters.

    1) Louis
    2) Monzone
    3) SRR
    4) Tunney
    5) Tyson

Well thats pure speculation, and nothing at all to suggest in thier fight. Ray pretty much dominated Will.

And your point is? You dont have seen the fight live to see that Will was never really in the fight. All he really did was make Ray miss alot, he offered no real offense of his own and everytime he tried to Ray won the exchanges. Leonard controlled that entire fight.

truth be told Charles doesn't belong on the list, I meant to say Tony Galento, as he was a total orthodox right hook throwing machine.

Mayorga learned his tactics from King Tony, stole them, and further enhanced Galento's legacy.

Apparently opposition and quality of chin are not a part of the criteria for determining greatest fighters otherwise I don't see how it's possible Jones jr. makes it in a couple of these lists!

He was in the fight, he was behind but he was in there with Ray.
Ray was pretty swollen up afterwards and was exhausted as well, so I think that Benitez hit him and gave him a run for his money.
Had Wifred trained for the fight, he may have won.
Wilfred was "challenged" mentally and I don't think he ever had a firm grasp on reality, and got by with his natural athletic ability.
Benitez and Roy Jones are the two best athletes I ever saw that were professional prizefighters.

He held the greatest title in all of boxing for the longest time and did so UNDISPUTEDLY! Joe Louis DEFINITELY belongs on this list!

u said "do people even consider quality of chin and opposition" and then come back with this filth.

Joe Louis chin sucked, and his opposition DEFINITELY sucked. For you to list him and bash RJJ is fucking stupid.

As much as it pains me, I have to agree with the kid in this one.

You can't bash Jones for chin and opposition (especially as his chin only failed him LATE in his career), and then applaud Joe Louis.

    CANNOT have it both ways.

    Joe Louis's chin sucked?

The man fought in the hardest hitting division, fought EVERYONE, reigned supreme for years, had 72 fights and was only ko'd twice. Do you just go by what you read off of boxing boards on the internet or do you find this stuff out for yourself?

I thought it was Ray dating Juanita, Benitezs' sister.
I never knew either guy, just met Ray several times and was one of his bodyguards at the Whitaker-Nelson fight.
I was acquainted with his cousin Odell Leonard, who was a good fighter in his own right.
