Pacquiao is a breath of fresh air,now a days there's to many fighters like Roy Jones and Floyd Mayweather who just wants to pot shot and run instead of fight and give fans there money's worth.
asian fighters dont have the physical tools to fight like jones and floyd. there have been some wannabee slicksters like in joo cho, yoko gushiken, and masanori tokuyama, but these guys had zero power and their stink level was almost ottke'esque
To be honest I think pacman's physical tools are his best asset. He doesn't have the footspeed and reactions of floyd, but he has freakish natural power, don't forget he started as a flyweight, and very fast hands. A pretty good chin too.
Exactly, people forget that Pacquiao started his career at 108 (Light Flyweight) and won a WBC title at Flyweight. He's been knocking people out across 7 DIVISIONS, very few fighters can claim that kind of dominance across so many weights. I'm glad Pacquiao doesn't fight like Fraud. If every good fighter fought like Fraud, boxing wouldn't be worth watching.
"My feeling is that.. if there was a Manny Pacquiao in every division the world would be a very different place. We'd have peace in the middle-east. Global warming would cool off." "For all we know he could be a fighter who becomes a historic figure who suddenly leaves credibility to asian fighters." "When you have a fighter as exciting as he is... who is going to make a lot of money for himself and others... they're going to descend on him and try to tear pieces out of him." "When rebels in remote outpost declare 24 hour armistices on the day he fights... you know he's trascendent in his world."
funny you mention he won a tittle at Flyweight yet somehow his losses there don't count cause he was just a skinny kid who had to grow into bigger divisions.
Who said his losses don't count? Both of his losses were attributed to weight issues. Also Pacquiao didn't lose his title in the ring, he lost it on the scales, he was weight drained and couldn't drop the weight then eventually lost in the ring because he was fatigued by the 3rd round. Fagquez on the otherhand was in HIS PRIME and not weight drained when he fought Freddie Fatboy Norwood and got put on queer street and lost. You can't even spell "title", no wonder you like a non-factor like Fagquez. Are you jealous because Fagquez will never win accolades like Pacquiao? ::
"Asian fighters"...:nono: Joon please, you're above such thoughtless categorization, it has always come down to the individual, Pacquioa is as physical and as powerful and as quick as the best of them.
For some reason Joony is the #2 pacman hater behind latin king. He doesn't know what he is talking about. What has got pacman onto the P4P lists? His intricate skill, patience and ring intelligence? :: Of course not. Pacman is an awesome physical specimen. He's got as far as he has in large part to natural physical talent. The guy is a beast. Incredibly fast, strong and powerful. Started as a flyweight, and managed to KO both morales and barrera.
I'm not a pac Hater. Actually I always describe him the same way you did. Being a freak of nature and he if fun to watch. I just don't overrate him and think because he developed a right hand he is the new Ali as far as skills go.:: some clowns around here think is disrespect if one doesn't bow down to him. :notallthere: Just look at the Floyd/Pacquiao comparisons. Obviously Pacquiao is more exciting than Floyd but somehow nowadays that means he is also better according to some.:dunno:
