...PBF take shots? It's a great fight to watch - all the clean shots ODH landed. And at points, PBF was pissin his pants in there, whistling in the dark when ODH was jabbing. ODH fought a good fight. Too bad he didn't get the knock-out he needed. At 147 with 8 oz gloves I think he would've stopped PBF.

    .......

 I like it for a different reason. I like watching a guy WAYYYYYYYY over his best weight (PBF), control a much bigger man, potshotting him and making him miss a ton. Sorry, but if I was an ODLH fan that fight would have ZERO replay value.

i guess i see it differently than you. PBF was basically reduced to fighting like a bitch, and ODH landed by far the harder shots. and he threw twice as many punches, and despite what compubox purports, he blocked the majority of PBF's shots. it's definitely a keeper of a fight, and along with the first PBF/Castillo fight, it's the best display of battery on PBF and by the end of the fight, PBF was virtually neutered of his arrogant ways.

I see it as it was. Floyd controlled the fight and won. Oscar won some rounds but was CLEARLY outpointed. ODLH would throw his little bullshit flurries (and arm shots) that were blocked and then Floyd would get off the ropes and hit Oscar with cleaner shots. The better man won and that was not ODLH.

Dela landed some mean counter left-hooks that were smothered by Lampley's gushing over PBF's hand-speed.

Also, Steward wouldn't shut up about ODH's stamina and the possibility that he'd tire. Finally, Merchant told him to shut up. But he still wouldn't let it go.

Double L must see little Ricky Fatton´s everywhere, if he prefers to watch Floyd beating DLH, instead of Castillo beating Floyd. :blobbox:

somebody needs to take care of Hatton immediately.

too bad the coward won't leave 140 - i think he's holding out for a fight with another light-weight, Juan Diaz.

Wasn't Castillo a welterweight fighting lightweight...and he look amazing beating them. Then he fights another welterweight in Hatton..and goes down easy....

PBF has one of the best chins in boxing history. He was in with a much harder puncher, and he took a shitload of clean punches right on the button (at least, according to Double). Yet, not only he didn't get knocked out or even down, somehow he found the strentgh to beat ODLH. I didn't quite realize what an amazing chin PBF has until Double pointed it out.

i think with 8 oz gloves, that counter-left casillo lande in round 1 wouldve put Hatton on his back.

would those 8oz glove also help Hatton...or just Castillo..?...cause before Castillo landed that counter...Hatton landed a few punches of his own....

Castillo is such a great 1 punch guy, Hatton was lucky there was no 8 OZ gloves  No Illuminatti, the gloves ONLY affected Castillo, not Hatton.

Hatton was wearing some brand of glove I'd never heard of. Who knows what he got away with.

You what I like best was the shots that PBF landed that rocked DLH. The shots that made him stumble. IF PBF had more power DLH would have taken an 8 count. I'll Holla 5000

that fight sucked. Both Floyd and Oscar could have done more. Especially Floyd with the speed he showed over Oscar. I only saw that fight once live and never again.

yea like castillo's that great of a knockout artist. that and hatton's only been down what, once in his career?

they could've fought w/ 6 oz gloves, hatton still would've won. maybe he would've won via first round KO.

With comments like that, its hard for anybody here to take you seriously.

In all honesty, I think Floyd took it easy on Oscar. He could have been more assertive and threw more combinations but instead chose to just jab, make Oscar miss, land counter rights, lead left hooks, and move around, getting Oscar to tire himself out chasing Mayweather.

The decision should have been unanimous. Floyd SCHOOLED Oscar and if they fought again, the same thing would happen.

ok. i can see why he'd do that, yeah. rather than win impressively, PBF decided to bore the shit out of everyone. thanks for the explanation. i was wondering about that. now i know.
