I think Vic should get a brain scan though, the post fight interview is the picture of a retard:

    "I ... wasn't hurt..."

Nonito should go after Mijares, that's a very winnable fight.

Arce and Vic should fight each other on the undercard for title of most overrated midget shit talker.

This spoils plans for Vic to move up to a higher class and figthing marquez, Vasquez or pacquiao. Maybe he should just keep fighting guys at 112 for a while.

2 minutes. Pacquiao would probably end his career.

Donaire is all class and a gracious winner, Darchiniyan is a sore loser and downright piece of human shit without an ounce of personality, I'm glad he got KTFO, too bad is was not a coma-like scenario like what he did to Victor Burgo, but poetic justice was served nevertheless.

Anybody hear when they told Nonito to stop celebrating, the guy is still laid out. If he only knew he was going to be a sore loser, he should have pose ala Morales style.

    Yo BAMA....

    SERIOUS QUESTION....

REED Knows Some Asians "Adopt" American 1st Names,Upon Moving Here...

It Struck REED as ODD that Nonito's Brother is Named "Glen"...Is this a Case of 1 Brother "Adopting" an American 1st Name, while the Other 1 DIDN'T or Did Mr. & Mrs. Donaire REALLY Give their Children VASTLY DIFFERENT 1st Names???...

Not Trying to B the LEAST Bit Disrespectful, just Asking an HONEST Question...

The Philippines has a heavy Spanish influence (colonization) and for a time was an American commonwealth. (the PI was acquired via the very same war that gave the US control of Puerto Rico) As a result, for the most part Filipinos tend to have Spanish or American names.

EDIT: And yes, Nonito is a JR. Which is even more typical since older generation Filipinos tend to have the Spanish names while the newer generation of Filipinos tend to have the American names. Example: my name is Patrick and my dad's name is Miguel.

that was easily the KO of the year. Vicious!:warning:

I still wanna see Arce/Vic I think it's an entertaining fight.

Also Nonito should go back to 115 and fight big fights there. There is nothing for him at 112

It's probably on youtube or something but Darnell Wilson-Emmanuel Nwodo. There's no KO that will beat that 1 this year.

Just getting in tonight, and reading this...it's great news.

I've followed Nonito's career for a while...and even a few years back considered him one of the best prospects in the sport.

Glad to see him win a world title on a stage like this.:bears: :bears: :bears:

Why didnt you hype this kid?! He came into the fight +850 which is freakin crazy considering how talented the kid is. I honestly wasn't expecting much having seen Vic's previous fight with his brother, but Nonito is a completely different beast.

Fast hands and great counter punching and body work. Kid has some pop too apparently

No Wilson was favored but the KO was pretty sick. It was even on Sportscenter. I agree the fight wasn't that good but the ending was brutal as fuck.

I agree with what holler said, but I'd also like to add that the Donaire's are Phil-Ams. They spent less than half their life in the P.I and actually lived most of their lives in California.

In a lot of Asian Cultures, the parents tend to give their children "western names" because they think it will allow them to better mix in with the culture here in America. For instance, Bruce Lee's cantonese name is Jun Fan, but he was given an "english name", hence "Bruce" Lee.

I have an asian name, and I also have my western name. At work I use my Western name, but when I'm with friends and family, they call me by my "asian" name.

I agree the Ding a Ling KO over Nwodo is pretty brutal, but Donaire over Darchinyan has to be in contention for KO of the Year as well.

It was just as earth shattering and when you consider who it was against, and that it happened at flyweight, P4P, I think this was more brutal and meaningful. :nono:

Vic was one of the most popular little guys in the world, and he was without argument Top 3 in the division, and arguably #1.

People do watch fighters under 130. :nono:

Ignoring knowledge and indulging in echolocation.
140 is the midget cut off for me, but I do confess to liking Katsidis primarily because he's white, with compliments of hailing from inland Australia ofcourse.
