On first thought, I was thinking Torres knocks him out. But looking back, Torres can't be the most durable guy fighting. And yet, his defense is pretty shaky. I'm thinking he could be stopped early by Holt. But if it goes late, I'd expect Torres to win by KO. What does everyone think?
I think Holt will school him for a while but he might get caught, Torres can be fast. Still, I think Holt will win a wide UD.
I'll take the guy who didn't get a gift against Arnaoutis.:: Holt is the better fighter. His chin can be gotten to, but he'll fight with this in mind and I think is skilled enough to win a decision.
well, holt was KOed by a tall lanky guy. torres is just wild and was outboxed by arnoutis. plus, holt has improved since that flukish loss and does hold dominating wins over diaz, hlatshwayo, and arnoutis. holt is a dangerous puncher himself. holt should win easily imo.
I didn't think that Diaz fight should have been stopped, Joony. If you recall, David was swinging back and in fact, landed the last punches of that fight. That was a bogus stoppage, IMO.
that was a premature stoppage but i dont recall Diaz or his camp complaining too much. Holt was dropped too, but he was beating Diaz up prior to that stoppage.
Source? Last I heard the fight would be in Colombia after Torres' promoter won the purse bid and declined putting the fight on the Morales-Diaz undercard. But anyway, I think Holt KO's Torres. Torres could win though, if he comes in shape, but I doubt it. From what I hear he doesn't like to train, and as a result, he's even been contemplating a move to 147. On another note, did anyone happen to see Torres' last fight against Morua?
yeah. you're right. it used to be scheduled for Shobox, but no more. doesn't make sense. it's a great fight. i can't understand why it wouldn't be televised.
HOLT by DECISION....or maybe even late TKO/KO.... Only chance for Torres is to catch HOLT slippin'.....on his D. And still Torres "punching power" has been non existing since the Cotto fight..
