I can't watch. I hate seeing once great fighters when they are a shell of themselves. It's sad too see even when they struggle with mediocre opponents, let alone lose to them.

I've been an RJJ fan since day one...meaning I watched his amateur fights on ABC back in the day before the Olympic fiasco...as much as it pains me, I have to stay with it until the bitter end.

I also forgot to mention, earlier this week, USA Today had a story in the business section about the top 25 sports scandals in history and Roy's Olympic story was in the top 25 (I'm thinking #16).

#1 was Pete Rose betting on baseball.

Yup. Thats why I'm not ordering as well. Even though Roy is my 2nd all time fav fighter, I cant watch this, just like I couldnt watch Tyson-McBride. If there was nothing else on Sat night I might be TEMPTED to order it, but because of the great card on HBO I'm not gonna do it. I wish Roy the best, and if he wins I'll watch the replay, but at this point he's not worth ordering on PPV.

realistically, i will probably buy it. if i said i won't, i'd be singing in the dark.

i actually think it will be a competitive and possibly entertaining fight, regardless of who wins.

 

I would've bought Whitaker-Bojorquez if it was on PPV. Not sure if i'd buy this one considering there are far better matchups on HBO.

 

I am still Part of Planet Roy. I am not sure if I will be able to see the fight though because I don't have cable and the site I usually stream from is only streaming the HBO fights that night.
