I was reading a Filipino newspaper online and an article caught my eye. It basically talked about Nacho talking with Jaca's advisor and showing interesting in training him. Jaca lost to JMM by 9th round KO late last year. Beristain also remarked that the reason JMM had so much trouble against Pacquiao the last time out is because they didn't have a lot of southpaw training partners and that they plan to recruit lots of southpaw training partners in anticipation of the rematch.
JMM's problems with Pacquiao was underestimating him in the first round. Once that was over he took control of the one trick pony.:cheer:
then again Pacquiao had trouble with Marquez because he was wearing cheap socks. Of course that makes more sense
You can make up stuff about Pacquiao but it's a fact that Nacho said JMM had trouble because he didn't have enough sparring partners.
I don't make stuff up. the socks excuse bullshit came from Pacquiao's mouth. Everyone and their mother knows that. where have you been? Pacquiao got ripped and laughed at after the fight for that stupid shit. Same thing after the first morales fight blaming things on the gloves instead of giving the oponent some credit. your hero has a lot of bullshit excuses. I actually read an article on the Ring magazine months after the JMM fight and Pacquiao had like three different reasons why he struggled. :dunno:
You're lying. Post where Pacquiao blamed his socks for anything. You say a lot of stupid shit on here. The fact is the gloves excuse for Morales was a legit excuse. Pacquiao had been using those gloves exclusively for 7 years straight and suddenly bad negotiations said he couldn't. Pacquiao proved he was right by knocking the shit out of Morales in the next two fights using REYES. As for excuses, it seems like Fagquez's camp is the one full of them and I have actual quotes unlike you. Let's see Nacho's excuses. - We didn't have enough lefty sparring partners. (as if Mexico doesn't have a lot of southpaws) - We had a lot of trouble last time because of the southpaw style and his quickness. (yeah we could tell by the way Fagquez was taking a nap on the canvas) - Manny is a demon in the ring, and he can react like a wildcat. He’s very fast, and you can’t predict what’s going to happen in any round. ::  (Sounds like Nacho is in love here)
Christ! your actualy stupid enought to deny the cheap socks excuse? You must have missed every fan on this board, FReddy Roach, the HBO Crew, lord did you even watch the fight?:: and Pacquiao beat Morales in the other fights because he was more used to 130, worked the body more and took Morale's legs out. Not to mentioned he brought a right hand to his arsenal. but you think it was the gloves:laughing: you got the balls to question people's boxing knowledge and have the dumbest fucking argumens. YOur knowledge consists of waving a Pinoy flag on every thread.
Show me a quote where Pacquiao said he lost because of his socks. This is the third post you've made since I asked you for proof and you have yet to put up. On the otherhand I have showed you were Nacho is fellating Jimrex Jaca and Manny Pacquiao. I think Nacho might be queer like his culo chasing fighter Fagquez. ::
actually I got something better for you. On this interview he blames a damaged left hand in the beginning of the fight, and the problems with the foot. Not to mentioned "something was wrong" with his body that night. MP: For Marquez, I trained for six weeks and I sparred 136 rounds. I prepared more for Marquez than I did for Barrera. I did feel something was wrong with my body for the Marquez fight. It had nothing to do with playing pool. In the days leading to the fight, I didn’t feel like I was 100 percent. But if I was, I don’t think the fight would have reached 12 rounds the way it did MP: When I realized that I probably couldn’t knock him out, the first thing that came to my mind was that I was going to beat Marquez by decision. I think Marquez was just lucky that night because if my left wasn’t hurting, I would have knocked him out KO: You also said that you had a bad blister on your foot and that the reason was that you were wearing a cheap pair of socks. Why, when you’re making all this money, are you wearing a pair of cheap socks? MP: Yes, the socks were cheap, but they were still good quality. The blister was caused by cramps I my calf. The cramps were so painful I thought my leg was going to explode. Because of the cramps, I wasn’t able to position my foot properly on the canvas when I was throwing my punches. And that’s what caused the blister to form. here is the link http://www.boxingscene.com/forums/showthread.php?t=773 we both none of this was necessary since i'ts common knowledge all the bullshit excuses your boy had after the fight. :: :: ::
'bama: yes, he did say something in the post-fight interview, about his socks, and a blister....typical spur of the moment excuse
UMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM....... where did Pac say he had trouble because of his SOCKS? He clearly says the socks were GOOD QUALITY and that the BLISTER WAS FORMED FROM CRAMPS IN HIS LEFT LEG (probably from not being able to pivot freely which is common even for basketball players). Where does he EVER blame socks for his blisters? Damn that was your proof and I waited 4 post for that shitty article? The best information I got from that article is that Manny only trained 6 weeks and still blasted Fagquez on the canvas 3 times!!! I can't wait to see the rematch after a FULL training camp. I don't think Nacho can bring in enough lefty sparring partners to combat that. ::
funny what anybody else who is not a pacquiao grupie would get from that article is 3 excuses. The first that his body wasn't 100 percent  the second that he hurt his left and that Marquez was lucky otherwise he would have been kod. and the third the blisters. In reality Marquez came out too agressive and got caught early. It's not an excuse it's a fact. Anybody that has seen JMM knows he is more of a counterpuncher and he came out careless. That explains that flukie first round. Once Marquez timed him he countered the shit out of him. so much he was rocking that fool around the ropes. I still remember the camera was on Pacquiao's wife screaming probably the same way you were while Paquiao was getting fucked up.:: For a guy that thinks he won that fight he had a bunch of bullshit excuses. Normally not the attitude of a winner. and by the way the interviewer asked him "you mentioned you had cheap socks' that is because he did say that at first. He changed his excuse regarding that there is a reason they asked him. Also the reason I brought it up and anybody who saw the fight knew about that shit.::
It's funny that the Pacquiao camp is confident they won (they did if not for a scoring error), and wanted to do it again IMMEDIATELY after the first match in 2004. Nacho since the first fight has been making EVERY excuse not to fight again and is STILL making excuses in 2007. Here's a timeline of Fagquez's camps comments: May 2004: Fagquez gets dropped by Pacquiao three times in the 1st round getting bliztez by Pacquiao early. Fagquez battles back to take some of the middle rounds while Pacquiao takes some of the later rounds. In the end, most media in attendence had Pacquiao winning a close but clear victory. A draw is announced and Sports Illustrated goes on to name the "Draw" one of it's Top 10 most controversial decisions of the past 10 years (Sports Illustrated had the fight 115-110). July 2004: Murad Muhammad offers the Fagquez camp a $1,000,000 purse to have an immediate rematch scheduled for November 2004. Nacho claims "$1,000,000" is not enough for Fagquez to take such a high risk rematch even though Fagquez's career high purse up until that point had been $500,000. Negotiations fail after Nacho and Fagquez back away from the table unexplicably. March 2005: Pacquiao begins what would be a classic, for the ages trilogy with Erik Morales in which Pacquiao would MOVE UP in weight to challenge the legendary Mexican. Pacquiao would go into the first fight with mangerial problems (being owed over $1,000,000 in purse money, and losing at the negotiation table against Arum, no Reyes gloves, not even his own hotel room). He would lose a very close decision, though he would revenge this loss by becoming the FIRST man to stop Erik Morales in a fight. May 2005: Fagquez would begin the year by defending his titles against no hopers Salido, and Victor Polo. Salido a journeyman with nearly 10 losses manages to win a few rounds against Fagquez in a boring fight most were quick to forget. Fagquez manages the same against Victor Polo going the distance against the 35 year old pug. Also around this time REVEALING pictures of Fagquez with a mysterious asian male surface showing Fagquez in compromising situations. Fagquez's sexuality has been questioned ever since. March 2006: Fagquez and Nacho in all their wisdom would accept a title defense against Chris John in Indonesia (John's home turf) and do it for the paltry sum of $30,000. This is the same camp that rejected a $1,000,000 purse to have a rematch with Pacquiao in the United States!!! Fagquez would go on to lose a close decision (aided by Fagquez losing points on low blow penalties, one of which was clearly a low blow, the other being arguable). The verdict is hotly debated but most unbiased spectators agreed it wasn't a clear robbery by any means, though debatable. March 2007: Nacho in an interivew with a Filipino reporter claims Fagquez had trouble the first time around because "he didn't have enough southpaw sparring partners" and that "Pacquiao is a demon!" Fagquez would fight aging and battle worn legend Marco Antonio Barrera. In a hotly contested bout Barrera manages to win many of the early rounds though losing some in the process. Fagquez manages to hurt Barrera though he almost gets KNOCKED OUT in the process. The decision is controversial to some in the media, especially with the width of the scores.
wrong, it was a 700,000 purse, with no ppv cuts But yeah, nacho has been keeping marquez far from pac, for the obvious reason that win or lose, marquez won't have much left if he fights him again.
I heard the terms of the deal changed up to the point where Fagquez and Nacho left the table. First it was $750k, then Murad bumped it up to a full million to keep Nacho and Fagquez at the table. but regardless, you're right. I think Nacho is more scared of Pacquiao than Fagquez actually is.
It wasn't $1000,000....it was $750M. There were supposed attempts to increase the offer by Muhammad, but largely unconfirmed. Also, even though they signed (to their immense credit), the Pacquiao camp - both Manny and Freddie - stated they were unhappy with the money as well. Marquez and Beristain definitely should have signed or tried to push more negotiations. They missed a perfect window and should forever be criticized for it. Yes, Manny did say post fight that he had a big blister on his foot due to using bad/cheap socks, and that hampered his movement as one of the reasons for the fight's result. Yes, he later also said he hurt his left hand, and that he wasn't feeling 100%. Almost all fighters make excuses as to why they didn't WIN a fight. Manny was/is no exception. Now, you too ('Bama Man and LatinKing) have got to quit this. It's getting old, repetitive, predictable, and it's polluting the board. Threads like this that repeat this same endless argument over and over will be locked; then vacations are on the way. Peace.
Since when was a debate a reason to thread lock? Vacations my ass. We'll see about this. You're clearly out of line man.
