    114-113 - WTF
    117-110
    118-109

Roy had tons of ring rust but at 38, it's probably the best he can be.

I had the fight 8-4 in Roy's favor with one knockdown in the 11th (Hanshaw went down). Hanshaw was hurt, but Roy didn't press the issue over the last 50 seconds of the bout.

Hanshaw basically ran away from Jones in the 12th round.

Again, Roy looked okay but I wish he'd REEDtire.

This proves that Roid wasn't SHOT when he got KTFO by bums several years ago. Thank you Roy :)

He was the Old Roy in spots but not enough spots to make me think he could beat a top level fighter.

Hanshaw landed a ton of hard body shots but so did Roy.

the fact that Roy didn't stop that bum simply shows how far Roy has slipped.

BTW...there was a very good turnout for this bout.

well Roy is clearly not the OLD Roy but man Hanshaw isn't a bum - he was undefeated and an okay guy...

give the old man a little credit.

His chances against top guys are very slim though i agree... :(

I've said Hanshaw was a bum ever since I saw him get a gift from Ikeke years ago.

Hanshaw fought a very good fight, but the Roy of now sits down on his punches more and it took it's toll on Anthony towards the end.

Roy's counters are still beautiful to watch and that knockdown combo was wicked......he doesn't have his superman legs anymore (partly because of ring rust & age, moreso)....but Roy looked great and showed alot of grit.

Funny thing is I noticed that Roy's left eye looked bad in the prefight but thought it was bad lighting....no wonder he was wearing glasses in the pressers this week.

It actually wasn't a bad fight...it was certainly better than Mayweather-DLH...

Which again proves how far Roy has slipped.

I watched the first two fights of the HBO card. Jones and Margarito were literally walking to the ring at the same time so I watched the Jones fight.

The best fight of the night was Gomez-Gatti...assuming you wanted to see Gatti get his ass whupped like I did.

RJJ looked solid this fight, I felt he stayed on the ropes too much this fight, I actually think he looked better in the Prince Badi fight because he seemed a little more active. Hopefully Roy will fight more often then just once a year, because thats his down fall not being active enough especially if he takes on one of the bigger name fighters.

I found the post fight exchange between Roy and Floyd Sr. interesting.......Mayweather talks so much trash about Jones and Roy knows it but classy as always he was very nice to Floyd...you could tell that Sr. was somewhat uncomfortable and intimidated....maybe thought Roy would bully him the way the jerk confronted 85 yr old Duva this week.

I think Roy looked better tonight.....Hanshaw was bringing it every round except the 12th when he was still shaking off the knockdown.

I agree though, he can't afford to fight once per year....you could see he was getting in a groove as the fight progressed.

What do you mean better? Watching a guy as slow as molasses pound Roy, when a few years back the guy wouldn't have touched Roy? Come on. If Roy had been in there with Johnson he wold have been Ko'ed.

Sorry but the attrition is so obvious, Roy going to hurt himself. He even looked like Ali in the later years... sitting on the ropes getting pounded.

There was certainly more action and I'm pretty certain there were more thrown and landed punches than what we saw in Mayweather-DLH.

Besides, Roy blocked most of the headshots with his forearms. Most of Hanshaw's best punches were bodyshots. There were a couple I thought hurt Roy.

I agree that Roy will only hurt himself if he continues fighting.

Oddly enough, Roy looked better tonight than Tarver did in his last two fights.

Well unfortuntely for Roy he does not have the juju anymore to keep people off of him with a mere feint:lol: So he has to be more active to do his thing.

Jones pissing away his chance for a KO was disgusting. He was scared to take the lead against Hanshaw of all people. Come on. The guy has no place amongst the best fighters in the world anymore, IMO.

You are nuts, so is Roy, he should retire immediately.

    "He looked solid?"

Shit, Hanzy would've looked solid had he fought that palooka Roy fought tonight.

Roy cant beat Sloppy Joe at this point. The only fight that makes sense for Roy is the Johnson rematch. Thats it. He should fight Johnson again, and win or lose, should retire afterwards. If he wins, he saves back some of his legacy by avenging a loss, and like Muzse said, he'll have beaten every fighter he's ever faced. If he loses, it'll prove to himself that he's too shot to deal with top fighters and should retire. But either way, he should fight Johnson again, and make that be his last night. Or he could just retire now, I wish, but he wont. Just like every other great in history, he's too stubborn to walk away, not wanting to conceed that he's washed up. I havent seen the fight yet, but I've seen Handshaw fight before. That bum wouldnt have lasted 4 rounds with a young Roy. RJ going the distance w/him now proves how far he's fallen. Give it up Roy.

it was an entertaining fight! no doubt. and hanshaw showed a lot of heart. and i thought it was a much closer fight than the cards had it, though i think RJJ won it.

but RJJ acting like he made a conscious decision not to stop Hanshaw in the 11th? Because he said he needed to go 12? ridiculous and insulting.

RJJ stays on the ropes because he's safe there. he has all the angles covered, his opponent is in front of him, and he can brace himself for every shot. it's in the middle of the ring, with 360 degrees of angles that RJJ is in danger.

what Hanshaw didn't do enough of was to time RJJ and counter him. instead he simply pressured RJJ and led.
