If that's the case, Jones was on the downside of his career when he fought Ruiz and Clinton Woods...it's all relative.

Regardless, Morales and MAB hadn't shown serious signs of slippage prior to fighting Pac.

In fact, MAB-Pac was the week AFTER Jones-Tarver I.

Going into the Tarver fight, Jones was still considered P4P #1...especially based on his win over Ruiz. MAB was in the top 5 and some would argue he had the top spot. I'm sure Hopkins was #2...I just don't recall.

Barrera was considered in the top 3 P4P, AND was around a 3 - 1 favourite over pacquiao.

And that was a brutal, 1 sided ass kicking in favour of pacman. Brilliant performance.

Pacman all the way. He dares to be great, floyd doesn't, he hand picks too much.

Pacman also started his career as a fucking flyweight.

Pac is always going to be more loved by fans. Floyd's career might look better on paper though. Maybe not though. Pac is still active and willing to fight the best. Floyd is "retired" and only caring about paydays.

would you show slippage is your previous opponents were kevin kelly and johnnie tapia (who were both clearly past it)? who else did both of these guys beat to make you think they were still at the top of their games (besides each other)? phonetap is at a loss...

MAB KO'd Kelley fairly easily and won every round and an easy decision against the light hitting Tapia.

If he struggled with either guy at any point, you could say he showed signs of slippage. The fact is, he didn't.

When MAB fought Ayala in his comeback fight, he won every round and stopped Paulie with a bodyshot. MAB didn't look over the hill or shot that night. That was a few months after the Pac loss.

Exactly, people act like it's easy to come up from light flyweight to being one of the best at featherweight.

Can anyone imagine a scenario where Cazeres could come up 7 weight divisions and knock out Erik Morales?

If your point is MAB and Morales hadn't shown signs of slippage prior to fighting Pac, you're absolutely right...that's exactly what I'm saying.

Guys on the downside of their careers don't struggle with guys they have no business struggling with. That's when you're on the downside of your career.

Morales and MAB didn't do that prior to facing Pac.

Based on your analysis, Hopkins was on the downside of his career after losing to Taylor...twice. (though I believe Hopkins won both fights)

Exactly, everybody thought Barrera picked Pacquiao because he was moving up in weight, and was KO´d twice before by smaller fighters, and hurt by a freakin jab of Nedal Hussein at 122. Nobody gave Pacquiao much of a chance and he made Barrera quit. The first win over Morales was still significant, matter of fact for 7-8 rounds Morales looked more dominant than in the first fight, but Pacquiao got to him. The third fight is meaningless.

That´s not true, they are not shot, they are shit. Lamon Brewster was an ESPN clubfighter until Wlad lost to him. Wlad made Lameon Brewster.

It seems like I'm the only brotha on this forum that can't stand mayweather and the way he fights.:dunno: He makes Roy Jones look like and aggressive beast.

    Exactly!

People compare Fraud to Roy, they fight nothing alike. Roy always "fought" to win, not to "slide by."

I can't remember a world championship fight where Roy had half the arena leave due to disgust.

    UMM NO,you must of forgot......The Tarver 3 fight.

As Roy got further in his 30's he became more of a counter puncher and just did enough too win but Floyds not even 30 yet and he fights like Spadafora :(

Roy used to come out firing and toying with his victims. Roy was dominant for almost 10 years in a division above his natural weight. Did you see that combination he threw at Harmon? Or the one he threw a few nights ago against Hanshaw?

Floyd couldn't throw a combo to save his life.

Circle, circle, potshot, circle circle, potshot, show back, pot shot. That's Fraud's fight plan in a nutshell.
