Just about everybody Vitali fought says they've been hit harder. Even Danny Williams says Tyson hit harder than Vitali. Although it's funny since Williams looked like a bomb had exploded in his face and was sent to the hospital after Vitali was done with him.::
im sure danny meant tyson hits harder with a single shot..if tyson landed the number of punches vitaly did the fight wouldn't have went long
Tyson landed enough punches to cause Danny to throw caution to the wind and make it into brawl. So let's leave it at that.
Physically, you would think that a 6'8, 255lb man should pack heavier hands than a 5'10, 222lb man. Tyson's power relying on speed and snap, Vitali's power mostly just the weight in his arm ala Foreman. Tyson obviously is the deadlier puncher.
Isn't that what I said? Wlad's RIGHT HAND. I never mentioned left-hook. Who do you think I am, Hanzy? :nono: ::
I know you said right hand, but you meant Wlad's right hand was better than tyson's right hand, you may be right, but Wlad's right hand is not as hardcore as Tyson's left hook was.
That's what I said and meant was that Wlad's right hand is better than Tyson's right hand, never brought the left-hook into the discussuion. But to end all things, yes, overall, Tyson's left-hook was more devastating.
My drug use aside... Roy CAN beat Wladimir. The problem with bird is his style is not to get away from punches as much as to parry shots and flick punches at fighters. this works against most of the comp he's had because heavyweights are less skilled than the average fighter. Jones wouldn't get in there and try to just block or deflect shots (except body shots) and counter. He would use his speed to get around the long jab and lead with rights and step away... It wouldn't be a fun fight to watch, but he can beat him... and it's only tobacco in that glass pipe of mine... That's my story and I'm sticking too it...:stir:
anime is good stuff... and my "avitar" is a pun... I thought people would get the joke... NO one has...
I'm breaking my arm to pat myself on the back here, but... I think I'm one of the better fight pickers on this site... In his day I woulnd't blink an eye picking Roy over Wladimir... I think if that same guy has one good night, he can beat Wlad for the same reasons I thought he could beat him before.... The planets have to be aligned and Wladimir might have to get a little frustrated in the ring, but do I think it could happen... Yeah...
no it can't ...wlad would ko roy in the first...if roy sees round 2 that in itself would be the biggest victory he could ever hope for
I don't think the fight will happen because Wladimir has too much to lose and NOTHING to gain from that fight and all that going up and down in weight for roy just CAN'T be good. but if it happens come to atlanta and I'll buy you a Mojito and we'll check it out... and NO rabid Kimba, I'll drink whisky with no CRACK chaser... Segrams VO Gold if you must know...
Agreed. Maybe the Roy of 5 years ago could have used his speed and footwork against a cautious jab-first type Wlad to last a few. Now he can barely help but to be flat-footed. Klitschko would slaughter him.
That's not too shabby, but I'm more of a tequila kinda guy, el Patrón reposado to be more specific. :cheer:
Good Fighter Wlad is a good fighter. I would rate him along the lines of a Primo Carnera, James J. Braddock, Maxie Baer, or Jack Sharkey historically as a heavyweight champion, which is good, but not great. He is good at what he does, and he wins more often than he loses, bottom line. Good fighter. Karl
Don't let them bully you, Rabid. I'm sure you've seen Wlad's left hook. That's a hell of a punch he packs when he uses it.
He's got quite a few more years left in the sport. Possibly, he'll grow from a good heavyweight to a great heavyweight by the time he's done.
