I may not feel as though Margarito has proven himself but I do not believe he should be denied a chance to fight at the upper echelon of the division because De La Hoya (in this case) decides to reenter the mix. Williams could also be denied his opportunity in much the same way as Margarito. At this point Mayweather and De La Hoya are both a big impediment to the progress of fighters in the middle divisions. Mayweather should be fighting for the championship at 147 thats about it, which means Hatton. De La Hoya should not be entitled to fight for any championship. And the kicker is that even if Margarito and Williams rematch it does not do any good regarding giving either guy opportunities. Why fight a tough fight when you can fight Oscar? Mayweather is a little more complicated situation but in leau of a reason to fight Williams and Margarito, unless he plans to be active, which would mean including Cotto and Mosley as a potential fight.... he should either stay retired or fight Hatton. Hatton is as much of an impediment as Floyd but if Oscar was dangling the G's in front of me I might do the same. Oscar stay the fuck out of the ring..... please. :nono:
I don't believe this. I think this is a ploy by Golden Shower to kill any momentum for a Mayweather-Hatton fight and force Mayweather towards Mosley to pad Golden Shower's bottom line.
Agreed. I'll be ANGRY if Floyd doesn't fight Hatton next. I'm salivating at the prospect of that fight.
Why? Mosley is THE fight that needs to be made. You know damn well Mosley is a more dangerous opponent for Floyd.
Brilliant deduction Einstein. Where were you at when I wrote this?: http://www.fightbeat.com/forums/showthread.php?t=18182
Yeah but the thing I'm worried about is that Shane's a sweetheart who plays by the rules,..when Fraud answers Shane's flurries and feints with his back,..he probably won't compromise his own principles, especially as a mature veteran,.............Hatton on the other hand, although a tiny midget, doesn't have any principles, he's the devils dellicasey, NOOOO conscience to crack some spine, nuts and kidneys,..
"His promoter, Bob Arum, felt Margarito won 116-112. But he scrapped plans for a Cotto-Margarito fight and said he plans to talk to Schaefer on Monday about a fight between Cotto and Mosley in Madison Square Garden in November." Interesting if true.

Personally, I'd love to see it... The Oscar that fought Floyd knocks Hatton out at 147 pounds. To me that would be much more satisfying than watching Mayweather pitch a dull shut and win via unanimous decision.. Do it Oscar. Make it happen.. ::
i would rather see floyd vs shane, i dont think hatton can beat floyd, shane has a chance, and if he wins, there will be a rematch
THAT even better..... Cotto vs. Hatton Mosley vs. Mayweather.... winners...fight each other... **but Mayweather should at least fight two of them before he retires....He might be hoping they X each other out then he fight the last guy standing...
