I'm glad I was right about this PPV and instead of sitting through this shitty fight I went out for Brazillian BBQ. Damn it was good.

Round 12: Both guys a bit more active, but neither landing to well. Bernard holding and hitting, but he is more active. Lots of holding as the crowd boos, both guys flailing, and Hopkins is closing beter. GOOD left by winky, and Hopkins counters well. Winky landing desperation shots, but bernard is fresher landing the better shots. Close round, and Hopkins has done more this round so far. Winky has really faded down the stretch, and Hopkins probably won.

Hops was just too rough, too big, too saavy at 170 lbs.

Wright couldn't make his jab work and that was the difference...gotta watch the subtle shots Hopkins was landing inside - short overhand rights, short uppercuts to the body and head...little left hooks over Wright's jab.

It was ugly; awkward; and ugly again...but I can't see even 6 rounds Winky won.

Both you and I bro. I started a thread about 2 months ago saying "Stinky-Borenard: Formula for failure?" and all the Borenard nuthuggers were on me about how "you should watch this fight, it's the two best middleweights in the division!"

The Hopkins win was just, but Christ they shoulda just scored it a draw, cause neither man deserved to win!

And despite that - punchstats don't tell the whole story, period. They NEVER do, bro.

Aaron picked Winky but had Hops winning 8-4.

Didn't get a chance to see this fight but it sounds like Hops fought Wright like he did Keith Holmes, by basically mugging and mauling Wright in a ugly but dominating win.
