I don't believe I've ever seen this one.

Gimme Jones by close decision. At his best, he was unbeatable, even by Whitaker. Jones' edge in power would be the difference.

well, it's hard to say. in whitaker, you've got a guy who nobody ever hit cleanly once, and in rjj, you've got a guy who can throw 50 punches in one second. tough to say.

It would greatly depend on who gets the early lead. If Roy was ahead of Whitaker by a few rounds i think it would be very difficult for Pernell to play catch up with his style.

Wow this is a difficult fight to predict, but I will have to go with RJ based on his speed and workrate.

I'll go with Pea by split close decision cause fundamentally he's a better all-around boxer. Roy Jones although supremely gifted does alot of things wrong which a fighter like Whitaker could capitilaze on.

Workrate  I'm not saying your pick is wrong, but Whitaker had a better workrate then Roy imo.

Workrate is a wash. Whitaker posed and praced as much as he threw punches in most of his fights.

at lightweight his jab and body work was consistent.

although i must say he was a bit tentative to pull the trigger against buddy mcgirt in their first fight.

Whitaker's workrate would go down against Roy considering the speed AND power in which Jones could counter with.

And right, because Whitaker outboxed so many fighters with Roy's speed and talent.
