I'll be very surprised if Taylor stops Pavlik. Taylor must be one of the most ordinary champions in the last while. Good guy, though.:clap:

Pavlak is a good fighter, I just don't know if he is good enough yet to beat Taylor. Taylor is strong as shit and he punches straighter so he will dictate as opposed to Miranda who punches in Margarito circles and who, can punch hard, but is not particularly strong compared to Taylor.

He wont stop Pavlik with knockout...he'll hit him over and over and over again. he can't miss. Pavlik's face would be unrecognizable by the 11th and the ref will be forced to save him from the slaughter.

 

3 punches a round ain't doing that kind of damage!

I also picked Winky to beat Hopkins because of his workrate and Bernards lack thereof, so I could be wrong here too. I just hope not. ::

 

I don't care what Pavlik is. He's going to knock Taylor's ass back to Arkansas and we will all see why Taylor fights so many smaller guys and non punchers.

 

If you were posting on this forum in 1974, you would have offered the following:

Did Ali struggle to a points win over two midgets in the fights leading up to that one? If he did then I would say the same thing, but if I was wrong I would admit it and eat my crow.

 

I have this same feeling, and I hope it's right.

 

He struggled with Bob Foster who was indeed a midget compared with Ali.

 

I actually think Taylor has lost confidence and become a worse fighter the last few years. I expect him to lose.

I think you're right Karl. Pavlik isn't going to let Jermain stink his way into another win. Pavlik's punches are going to come straight down the pike and Taylor will get clipped.

All Jermaine and Manny will have to do, is work on a plan to avoid or nullify Pavlik's fully extended straight right, and once that's out of the way, Taylor's talent, his superb jab, and athletic advantages should flow to it's natural course of victory,.. :nono: he'll HAVE to assure though, even despite having a good chin, that AT ALL TIMES, Pavlik doesn't hit him with one of those loaded up, fully extended right hands, because from what I've seen, that single punch is probably the p4p most devistating in ALL of boxing,..Pavlik seems to fuck people up with it,..but besides him being a tough cunt,...that's all Pavlik's got,..and..Manny Stewart will be licking his lips...:crafty:

 

Jermain isn't exactly the hardest guy to hit either so you know he's going to take some shots at some point. Winky is very fast at all and was able to land tons of shots on Taylor.

 

Pavlik's gonna beat the stutter outta him.

 

I think people are going to be shocked and disappointed at how easily Taylor handles Pavlik..

After facing defensive masters like Hopkins, Wright and Spinks, I think Taylor might actually get an erection at how easy it is to hit Pavlik.

Manny is shot as a trainer. And regardless of what he says now he couldn't get Taylor's attencion during the Spinks fight. Dude was almos cursing at him the way he did at Lewis in the Tyson fight.::
