Clearly, Vern is 6 years beyond his prime. So, the pertinent matter is whether the Vern that destroyed Sugar Shane could have shifted Baldomir. Personally, I think ANY version of Vern would do well to improve on Floyd W 12 Baldomir.
Forrest fought a perfect fight last night. I don't think there is anything else he could have done to beat Balsomir in better fashion. This guy has a hell of a chin and heart. Some guys just wont go down regardless wha you hit them with, this guy seems like one of them.
Bum has been stopped before, by obscure fighters, I wonder if he maybe only brings his A game when he fights bigger name fighters or something.
He's been stopped 1 time in his whole career in his 7th fight. Who are these "fighters", who have stopped Baldomir? The guy just takes a great shot and has an exceptional chin. people can call him names (like little kids), and talk all the shit they want but he is a tough fucker.
One thing about Baldomir is for sure....He never ever quit even once in his career, like Zoo or Wlad, or three times, like Quitaly...hell, Baldomir beat two times more champions than Wlad and Quitaly combined!!!....He's one tough MOFO.....Forrest got lucky to fight Baldomir after Floyd got done with him.....
PBF broke Baldomir down psychologically....Before the fight, Baldomir thought that after steamrolling through guys like Clottey, Judah and Gatti, he was ready for PBF....well, PBF put on a clinic...guys like Zoo quit or get beat down in a similar situation ....Baldomir managed to last the dstance, but he was a broken man afterwards....
clinic my ass, that was the worst boxing I've ever seen.Floyd just used his speed by potshotting and running. EDIT:Against a lesser fighter
That's a good point. Before the Mayweather fight Baldomir simply didn't know what it was like to lose. Now that he's lost, his spirit is broken. Even his family knows it...which is why they didn't want to be inside the same arena with him when he fought last night.
 Yeah because Floyd Mayweather really pounded him to the ground, that was a career ending beating Bumdomir received in teh Mayweather fight. I'm shocked to see him still fighting..he was lucky he didn't have bleedng of the brain after the beating Pretty Boy put on him....
Precisely....Baldomir's last loss before PBF fight was 10 YEARS earlier......heck, at the time of PBF fight, Baldomir was used to routinely steamrolling over guys like Clottey, Judah, Gatti, etc.......but that 12-0 shutout broke his spirit......sure, Baldomir still went on 12 full rounds with Forrest, simply because there's not a single ounce of quiiter in him.....but PBF fight was his "jump the shark" fight.....
To be honest, Baldomir was already well past his prime when he won the title. Can't expect him to outbox Father Time forever.
3-4 million he made for the fight....help him get over the psychological pain of losing to Mayweather. SHIT all those million inspired him to try even harder next time, one or two more victories and he could be seeing a few more million dollar pay days...:bears:
Oh please, a technical decision is not the same thing as being stopped. Not to mention, it could have been his opponent who was cut from heabutts. :: What a dumbass thing to say.
Now, now, don't be harsh on Ortho.....He still believes that Vitaly is not a quitter and that Collazo didn't get the decision against the British fraud, because he had to take the title from the champion :: :: (Collazo, of course, was the champion in that fight  )
Boxrec motherfucker!!! :tease: :tease: Guys that could punch, one assume. Or headbutt. Not Floyd, in other words!!
You can quit using that stupid emoticon when you are wrong. Baldomir has 2 technical decisions. That IS what TD stands for.
Ohh silly me, youre still pushing your fascination with Mayweather agenda, making shit up. Ill leave you to it.
Uhh....this is your thread. Oh no wait, its mine. Yours got 5 responses:laughing:     Mine is up to 25:laughing:
