For the guys who actually fight at those weight classes, 10 pounds is almost 1/10 of their entire body weight. :dunno:

That's true, but Floyd and Pac are considered outside of the norm. Pac fought over 7 divisions and Floyd fought over 5, how many other fighters do you know that did that and still maintained success? I think you could count them on one hand. :dunno:

I respect your opinion on this Alabama, you dig the lightweights. I am just saying that if the lightest of fighters ever wanted to be taken serious in the mainstream they have to realize that having weightclasses that are separated by 3 fucking pounds is over saturation. And I disagree, asking a fighter who walks around at 115 to 125 to fight at 120 instead of 108 is not being unfair.

If you want to cancel 108 and 112, it would be the same as eliminating the jr. welterweight division to create a jump from 130/135 to 147 in relation to bodyweight percentages.

If the year ended right now, today:

Fighter: Takefumi Sakata easy (but I expect Mayweather, Hatton, Cotto or Pavlik to blow by him)
    Fight: Sakata-Vasquez II
    Round: Earl-Katsidis (2 or 4); Naito-Wonjongkam Rd. 9

My "Bitched up" of the year award goes to Zab Judah's performance against Cotto. What a pussified effort he gave.

What if you were a natural 107 lb'der? Would you train hard and try to cut those two pounds, or would you take on the big boys @ 108?

of course it does. You have a reasonable mind. All these weights do is give the abc's more sanctioning fees. They over saturate the word champion. If you can't fight at 110(see Alabama, I compromised from 120 being the basement weight:tease: ) you should be in a circus with 4 others just like you fight ex WWF superstars like King Kong Bundy.

The Super MW division drives me nuts as well. MW @ 160 and LtHW @ 175 was absolutely fine.

Without giving it much thought, I would probably give Forrest "Comeback Fighter of The Year" if the year ended tomorrow.

And Bumdomir, he came off that heavy one-sided beating by Floyd to take at least 1 round off the all-timer that is Vern Forrest.

Bum: tough guy of the year

    Vern: fighter of the year

is there one person (other than me) on this forum that calls Baldomir by his actual name, and not a cheesy "nickname", like Bumdomir?

He was calling him "BUM" until Floyd entered the equation.

Then it was CM Baldomir, Earl of Argentina , all the fucking way.

you aren't the only one Gatti. This is the only thing that really annoys me on this board. It is just foolish. To call a WORLD class fighter a bum, I just don't get it.

but even the stupid nicknames like Calslappy, Fraud, and so on are just retarded.
