It seems you called every major upset before they happened... Tito-Hops and now this one, are you a psychic MWS?

Is this the fight when Forrest caught Mosley with a bodyshot in Rd 10 or 11...and Mosley actually screamed in pain?

I can't argue against facts. The big issue is if something changed for Mayorga or if he just ran into better comp and that was that. I think he got cocky and stopped training hard. Also his style is intensive and he may even have burned out. The Forrest vicrory shows that at his best he could beat an elite guy though.

possibly. but there's also the fact that Forrest fought the wrong fight. evene in the second fight. he backed up way too much. and allowed himself to be on the end of Mayorga's punches. i think even today when a guy does that he can easily lose to Mayorga. the key to beating Mayorga is backing him up and staying at mid-distance.

It's not that hard to explain: Mayorga wasn't psyched out or anything like that, he just got tagged by a very good shot early in the fight and wasn't able to fully recover.

I thought Mosley would easily handle Vernon in both fights..

Oddly, I was even more convinced the 2nd time and actually lost $500..

I picked Barrera Hamed, and Hops over Tito. My official pick was Mosley, but I honestly thought Forrest would win, I was just hoping he wouldn't.

A lot of people picked Hopkins, to me that was not an upset.

REED Most Definitely Thought Shane would BEAT Forrest...REED had Seen Forrest a FEW Times & was NEVER Impressed, whereas REED had Seen Shane 15-20 Times & Almost ALWAYS Came Away IMPRESSED...

This Fight TAUGHT REED that the Old Axiom is TRUE..."STYLES Make Fights"...

    Strangely,B 4 the Fight,REED Dreamt that Shane got DROPPED by Forrest...No Bullshit:eeeek: ...

It SCARED REED,but Not Enough to Change REED's Official Prediction...

Shane COULD have Won the 2nd Fight...He STARTED Very Nicely, but it was DOWNHILL from there...

He was just Toooooooo Damned SCARED of Forrest's Right Hand,to Put Forth Enough OFFENSE to Win...

Forrest fucked Shane up so bad in that first fight that Mosley refused to let his hands go for almost three years afterwards.

I love these types of threads. Its fun seeing how full of shit some people on here are.It reminds me of the Tito vs B-Hop fight, back then the majority was leaning towards Tito but as time pass those same people say they picked Hopkins ,funny stuff.

No shit, he borderline ruined Shane. He was never the same arguably after the 1st Forrest fight.

I really did pick Nard, hopefully donny or musze or someone can back me up, Nard by decision was my official prediction, and Barrera by KO was my prediction for Hamed.

I already admitted, I picked Mosley to win, but deep down knew forrest would, I just hoped my gut feeling was wrong, as I really like Mosley.

honestly, i wasn't sure who was going to win the first forrest-mosley fight. i was only surprised at the fact that forrest dominated the fight considering the way he performed against frank in the rematch which was hardly an eye opener.

Slystaff, I remember what you wrote. As I said last week, I stopped the smacktalk and just want to talk without it. You called Shane both times. I don't know why you're wound up about it. So did I for that matter! :dunno:

I called Hops-Tito. Everlast owed me money because of it, and when he didn't pay, I started "The Everlast Bet Welching Thread".

For the record, Slystaff called Hopkins-Trinidad as well if I recall correctly. He actually sent me a PM saying why!

You've already proven that you can't trust your memory, on another topic (we wont bring that up right now)

I MOST CERTAINLY didn't pick Shane to beat Vernon in the rematch. You've lost your mind.

In teh first fight I picked vernon to win but last minute said that Shane would get a controverisal decision.

    "Pinhead"?

My air-headed friend, I remember you pick Vargas to outbox Trinidad and knock him out.

    Now THAT'S just plain dumb.

He sent it to me via PM, so you're probably right. Now it seems like he's trying to revise both his Mosley picks. :dunno:

I'm leaving emotion at the door, but you're getting really riled up like someone caught in a lie when phonetap points out the fact that you picked Tito. It's ok, you probably forgot who you picked. :dunno:

and to answe the thread question, I admit I didn't see it coming. And this even though I was never the biggest Shane fan and was kinda sorta hoping for anyone to come along and knock him off of his perch

I picked Tito over Hopkins. FACT. I picked Vernon over Mosley..also FACT. And no, I'm not getting "riled up".

Phonetap, is the guy who gets "riled up" the MOMENT anyone says anything about Sugar Shane Mosley.

I'm sure he rubs Shane's photograph with his finger and says: "Myyyyyy Prrrecious!"

Sly definitely picked Vernon to win the rematch, I can vouch for that. I even remember him starting a thread asking if anyone's ever won a rematch after being dominated the way Shane was in the 1st fight, thus concluding that he (Shane) had no chance, though ironically Shane did a lot better in the re (though fought a little too scared, and coming up short)
