If Baldomir was in his prime against Forrest, would the result be different?

    floyd beat

castillo (arguably his best win. still, he had like 5 losses)
chico (who was clearly not a great fighter at that point)
chicanito (a past prime guy who was very good but not great)
famosito (who sucks and was lucky to win a title)
chavez (who's good, but not very good)
baldomir (had 10 losses or so. he sucks)
de la hoya (wasnt even fighting full time and had 4 losses)
judah (was at least undefeated when tszyu blasted him out in 2. floyd struggled w/ him who was coming off an embarrassing loss to baldomir)
mitchell (a guy who tszyu twice beat and easily destroyed in 3 rounds in the rematch)
gatti (floyd himself called him a C+ level bum w/ 6 losses)

i didnt say tszyu was greater than mayweather. AT THE TIME, floyd's wins over castillo weren't as highly regarded as tszyu 2 round destruction of an unbeaten judah.

sure, if you look back now, castillo was better than judah, but which win was more signficant at the time?

Excellent. And how about that ODLH fight? Did Zoo ever beat anyone as good as ODLH? Scratch that, has he ever even faced anyone as good as ODLH?

how did this all of a sudden came to a floyd/tszyu comparison? :dunno:

but to answer your question, floyd beat a guy who was no longer a top 15-20 fighter p4p. not the same de la hoya that mosley had beaten about 7 years ago.

you might as well give tszyu credit for beating down an old ass chavez.

    It always does, somehow.

He beat a guy Double L adores. That's good enough for me.

imagine how much free time you'd have on your hands if PBF weren't such a puss about his career, and you didn't have to go to these elaborate lengths to justify his choice of opponents and defend his resume?

Double, did PBF not beat ODLH? Did PBF not beat Castillo?
Sometimes I suspect PBF knows about your existence.....or how else can you explain his deliberate and pointed destruction of all your favorites?

you know what's funny, neither loss on the part of ODH or Castillo hurt their respective careers in the slightest. and you wanna know why? because PBF didn't "beat" them. he pussy-footed his way to a close points decision, and in the process, diminished his own value as a star.

it was almost as if by technicality that PBF beat Castillo and ODH. so it doesn't really hurt that much. the only disappointing part is that ODH didn't knock PBF out, and that he fought stupid, and that Castillo didn't get the decision he deserved in the first fight.

Dympipl's act would be clever if he swung off the nuts of a more obscure fighter......but all he does is hype up a fighter that doesnt need any hype like a common teenybopper

it's the equivalent of someone going into TAA and hyping up Michael Schumacher

What he does makes me hate all Floyd fans. I know he isn't even serious, but he does what Floyd fans do only better.

Yes.....Oscar fought Trinidad, Whitaker, Quartey, Hopkins, Mosley, and PBF, but he ducked Mighty Kostya
Oscar has a proven history of meeting best of the best (look at the guys he fought)
Kostya has a proven record of avoiding best of the best (look at the guys he fought)

You mean, the technicality was that he won more rounds than his opponents? I hate to break the news to you, Double, but that's how a lot of fights are won in boxing....You win more rounds than your opponent and you're declared winner....Did you know that?

    It hurts just a tiny-itty-bitty?

Does it hurt a lot inside, Double? Does it?

yes. it's a technicality in that ODH hurt PBF more than PBF hurt ODH. and ODH landed the cleaner and harder shots throughout the fight.

when the guy in the fight who did more damage, and landed the harder shots, doesn't win, it's a technicality in my book.

you think that little right hand did anything? it certainly didn't hurt ODH. it was more of a push than anything. get real. your smoke and mirrors don't work here. give it up. everyone knows you're full of shit and willing to say just about anything to argue your point.

Double, are you fucking serious? That was a push?? That was a clean punch.....no wonder you think ODLH scored more clean punches   Apparently, you have no idea of what a clean punch is.
it's obvious you have no idea what a clean punch is, even when it hits ODLH square in the face

because it landed cleanly. it can still be a push. and have landed cleanly. and that's why it wasn't hard, and why it didn't hurt.

First you said it was a push, then you said it was a clean punch, now you're arguing it was a clean push? :dunno:
