List Some of these Guys...Also,List Guys who DEFY their Body Types & Jaw Structures.... For Instance,Paul Williams is Tall,SKINNY & has a VERY POINTY Chin...He LOOKS like he'd Fold from ANY Hard Shot,yet So Far he's Shown a STOUT Beard... On the Other Hand,Frank Bruno LOOKS like he'd WIN a Collision w/an 18 Wheeler,yet U Could Knock him Senseless w/a PILLOW... REED
Bruno could get his bell rung, but he could actually be pretty damn tough to put down on the canvas. Also, it's a little deceptive to compare Bruno (who fought punchers like Tyson, Spoon and Lewis) to Williams.
Bruno was a weird one. He was easy to hurt, hard to put down/out. He had a strange chin to be sure. But yes, he was certainly easier to hurt than you'd think, by looking at him. Although he is not a boxer - Bob Sapp :: :: Mosley - build head/face/neck and sure enough, takes a good shot. Duran - Looks like a tough bastard with a built face, and indeed he is. Williams - REED and I were wrong about him, he takes a shot WAY better than his skinny head and point chin would have you believe. De La Hoya - well, his face is actually somewhat built, but it certainly doesn't look tough. He takes a better shot than you'd imagine. Hatton - He has a broad, solid pikey hypo face, and sure enough he takes a pretty good shot.
If you never saw Oscar fight (or at the least not against cans) you'd figure he couldn't take a shot. Not just the face but he's never looked completely solid. A lot of fighterd wanted a part of him just because they figured he'd be easily roughed up. (before he was the golden goose)
You'd never have thought Ali could've taken a shot looking at his face and build. Yet he was insanely tough.
When he was younger, Oscar COULD be roughed up. It wasn't until he filled out, that his chin became a strength and not a weakness.
tszyu performed hell of a lot better against a young hatton while your beloved hero fought tarver as if he was facing some sort of an aids infected prostitute.

I'm not saying porcelin faced WHITE BOY'S ....DO get EXPOSED everytime they fight!.....(although most Fraud fans would be on thier knees with thier hands together) but they just look like they might, and it adds to suckering one to pick against them more often than not. :nono: Besides two things,.. 1) Hatton doesn't look Porcelin faced..:: wtf?...he looks like a scavenger who's a dungeon jailer by trade. 2) I picked Hatton to beat Tszyu, and yes, Hatton may have destroyed Tszyu's testicles and turned him into a prancing poof on television, but atleast he didn't make Tszyu dance in the ring, the way Tszyu made your hero dance in the ring...:crafty: now that's true necromancin' romancin'...:cheer:
Michael Nunn, smirking with that ostrich like neck, looks like he couldn't take a shot, but he had a pretty good chin.
erik morales looks like a stiff breeze could give him whiplash, yet he has an iron (IMO) chin. on the other hand someone like kelvin davis looks like he would have a chin of steel yet he does not. george chuvalo looks the tough chin part and is. and mark breland looks the weak chin part and is.
David Tua and Sam Peter, similar to Mike Tyson, have thick necks (or seemingly no necks), look like they can take shots well and they do.
Jesus, how could I forget El Terrible. He certainly doesn't look like a pussy, but yep he does look fragile but he has, or had a great chin.
I remember Jim Lampley saying something about James Toney like "the extra fat he has around his stomach actually allows him to take body punches better". I'm not sure how true that exactly is, but fat Toney and an older Ali didn't have very ripped abs or midsections, but they sure could absorb body blows. Evander Holyfield is as ripped as you can be, but I feel that he, at least from say, 1991-on, was a little vulnerable to the body.
Good calls on the Glass Rhino and Kelvin Davis. God they have shitty chins!! I'd also add Cliff Couser and to an extent,Malcom Tann has pretty damn bad chin also!!
I re-watched Maskaev's fight with Kirk Johnson not too long ago. I remember the HBO crew saying that Johnson said that he didn't think he could knock Maskaev out after he saw the size of his jaw.
