Yeah but it averages out to $5.78 in US dollars per buy.

Since I did the RbR in the midst of 12 random boxing fans who i didn't know, I assure you Hopkins and Wright's reps had nothing to do with the PPV buys.

The majority of that 300K IMO are the same people that order every other PPV no matter what because its an excuse to have a party and watch a fight. People were cheering the Katsidis fight, then talking about how much worse the Larios/Linares fight was, and then said things like "I can't wait for the main event, there'll be a KO for sure."

Casual boxing fans know NOTHING about boxing. Another separate group of people that I watched Baldomir Forrest with were sure Baldomir was gonna KO forrest, because they watched him KO gatti and said, "cmon gatti's the toughest guy on earth, this forrest guy's gonna get killed."

For fuck's sake the owner of this site told me Gatti was gonna stop Mayweather, is it any wonder 300K people stooped so low as to order a fight that was guarenteed awful on paper?

And Bama this is one of the most "sly-esque" takes uve ever offered, are you even familiar with the english language and its vernacular. a 10-20% increase does not the word "dwarfed" make, for fuck's sake.

Only crazy drunks would ever purchase a Bernard Hopkins ppv. He's really awful to watch. I respect him though but that style just isn't worthy of ppv. He's almost as bad if not on the level of John Ruiz.

True, Manny's fights are broadcast for free to areas that can get ABS-CBN just with commercials in between like an ESPN FNF card.

But the amount of people in the P.I who have cable (or even a TV) is a lot lower than here in the states. So what they end up doing is broadcasting through Gateway Cinema. They charge 600P to 1000P (about $13-$21) per seat and people can watch the fight without having cable or a TV. They usually do this in partnership with ABS-CBN or Solar Networks. Suffice to say it's a pretty sizable chunk of revenue.

Also Dream Satallite Network handles all Satallite buys for Manny's broadcast in asia, this also represents a huge chunk of revenue for Manny's fights.

Actually it's more like 15%-20%, and that is very sizable in terms of revenue, and that's ONLY U.S buys.

When you couple it with worldwide numbers, Hopkins couldn't hold a candle to Pacman's revenue earning power.

Face it, Hopkins is a headbutting cheater who can barely make profits in his own country. :dunno:

Okay whatever. The worldwide revenue for Manny's rematch against Morales may have doubled the take for Hopkins-Winky. It didn't "dwarf" that PPV, it destroyed it in terms of revenue. Happy now?
