    • Sakio Bika (28, Sydney, Australia, via Cameroon, 22-3-2, 14 KOs).
    • Henry "Sugar Poo" Buchanan (28, Capital Heights, Md., 14-1, 11 KOs).
    • La Farrell Bunting (27, Las Vegas, 16-3-1, 16 KOs).

    • Rubin Williams (31, Detroit, 29-2-1, 16 KOs).

-While episodes will be structured similarly to previous seasons, more of the bouts will be seen each week. In addition, every bout will air in its entirety, most likely on ESPN2.

-A fourth season is being discussed with heavyweight as the target division.

I think having guys who are over 30 and/or already have competed in world championship fights kinda kill the spirit of the show. Just my 2 cents.

I think so too, but this is a pretty solid cast.

I agree. Once it's proven you can beat the top guys what's the point?

Much better cast this time though and should produce some interesting fights.

I agree the cast is very solid, and the tournament will certainly be interesting but like I said, it kills the spirit of the show. Not that we didn't get that this show wouldn't bring us the next great champ for real but it would be fun if that was the main purpose of the show.

Well, most of these guys it has only been proven that the top guys can already beat "them".

Is there going to be a rivalry between Codrington and McCary? The guy who almost KO'd Allan Green against the hot prospect who Green embarrassed.

they should change the title of the series. 'the contender' just doesnt sound right for guys who've already fought for the world title.

there are also a lot of guys who were once solid prospects/contenders. this somewhat reminds me of season 4 of spike's the ultimate fighter.

actually, this seems more suitable for a shobox tourney.

I'd love to see Jaidon win then have Sportscenter replay his KO loss to Allan Green 35 million times.

The shobox supermid tourney had more and better prospects than this list.

But, at least this list contains prospects, unlike the crap we've seen before from Contender.

Soliman is the best fighter in the group, but he's too small. I'd say Bika wins.

Danny Santiago is a pretty good winger, he trains out of the Bad Boys boxing club under Tito Ocasio where Cal used to train.
Danny knocked the shit out of Elvir Muriqui, something Antonio Tarver couldn't do.

they're gonna kill the show if they do a heavyweight tourney, unless they manage to land only recognizable names.... they should stick to the lower weights, or at least add some more international flavor

Nah, if they went toughman with it and invited Butterbean it would probably get great ratings.

Santiago blows. Look at Marlon Hayes on ESPN2 right now. Santiago won by robbery against him.
