WTF? The retard scores the first round 10-9 Morales, which I don´t necessarily agree with, but to score the second round 10-8 for Diaz based on a tripping of the feet, that was clearly signaled by the ref is a reason to ban this judge forever. And Diaz almost swept the second half of the fight, 17 of 18 cards over the last six.

yeah thats funny they didn't seem to have a problem to give him rounds late, why not early... Diaz didnt sweep nothing but Morales wasn't that much better in the first half, either.

I know the ref ruled it a slip but when i first seen it on TV i thought Knockdown, too and maybe some Judge who didnt have the slowmo and a bad angle thought the same - worse things have happened in boxing i don't really get the outrage here. :dunno:

I mean i get it .. im just saying...

The first round SHOULD have been scored 10-9 to Morales and Diaz won the second half of the fight clearly.

You're a pretty big whiner when it comes to Morales. About as bad as Double L with his Castillo and De La Hoya tears.

Oh yeah the snotty know it all has spoken. Morales clearly won round 9.
8, 10-11 were close yet all three judges went for Diaz. You don´t have shit to say about round two, probably because you are disappointed Cuevas had that brilliant idea and not you. When did I ever whine? Morales lost to Raheem, he lost the third fight to Barrera. This fight was a clear win for Morales. If 90-95% say Morales won, then it is not accceptable Diaz got the decision unanimously.

    Morales won 8 rounds. He won 1 - 6, and rounds 9 and 10.

That was a bigger robbery than I thought. Fucking ridiculous.

The fact that they gave Diaz a 10-8 makes it all the more obvious and blatant that this was a blatant fix.

What on earth could their excuse be as professional judges?

"Oh, I thought I saw the ref counting, my bad".

That second rounds is way fishy, no doubt about it.

Still, I say again, I didn't have Morales winning the fight.

Diaz showed a ton of heart, and even thought I was rooting for him, you really have to give him every benefit of the doubt to have him winning the fight, talent wise, he's really one of the weakest champ I ever saw. Morales should have won this one.

morales blew it by fading late, and not being busy enough. it was a close fight, but i thought diaz clearly wanted it more.

Depending on how the first round is scored, I thought it would either be a Morales win or a draw. I was Donnybrooking the 1st round, and wound up letting Joony talk me into scoring it 10-8  (as did Julio Cesar Chavez Jr's brother, who sat next to us for the main event).

Scoring the 1st round 10-8, I had Morales winning by a point (114-113). Change it to 10-9 (which you can certainly make a case for, since Diaz otherwise won most of the round and fairly convincingly), and the fight is a draw.

yea that was funny. neither of us realized that it was his bro until people started asking him for autographs (although i wasnt sure if the fans knew that it was chavez's bro, not jr. himself).

you get an extra point for a knockdown.

The first round was clearly Diaz's until the late KD - an extra point for Morales means that round was 10-10.

I just watched that first round again, and I have to say, that should have been a 10-8 round for Morales. Diaz landed two meaningful bodypunches in the first two minutes, where he controlled the action with his ineffective aggressiveness. Then he landed a real hard one two combination with a minute left. With thirty seconds left he rocked Morales with a lefthook and got greedy. Morales countered him with a big right hand to score the knockdown and hurt him again at the bell with a three punch combination. As far as really meaningful punches are concerned Morales landed just as many as Diaz. Yes Diaz threw way more, but most of them were blocked or missed. For me you have to hurt your opponent and really dominate a round to erase a knockdown, that certainly didn´t happen here, and was blown way out of proportion, because everybody was looking for the shotness in Morales.
