From fightnews... WBA super middleweight champion Anthony Mundine has been hospitalized in Sydney with a possibly career-threatening eye infection. "The doctor said it could be weeks, could be months for the natural healing process to take place," said 'The Man,' who is suffering from limited vision in his left eye. According to Channel Nine, the eye became infected over the weekend after Mundine cleaned a contact lens with his mouth at a restaurant. What an idiot.
It's unfortunate this may render him unable to fight again, but cleaning a contact lens with your mouth in a restaurant, likely with particles of food in your mouth? It's something only an Aussie would do IMO. You can't really blame him, he obviously just doesn't know any better.
Give the guy a break....He was smart enough not to clean it with other bodily fluids, and that's good enough for me....
