This ties in with the Vargas/Mayorga thread. But which fighters speak the most broken, "ghetto" Spanish? I've heard that Tito, Mayorga, and Casamayor are pretty damn hard to understand even for Spanish speakers, but can someone confirm that?

Also, which fighters speak the most articulate spanish? Is it Barrera, or Marquez maybe?

Marco Antonio Barrera speaks very articulate Spanish and is easy to understand. Jose Luis Castillo as well.

Tito can be hard to understand at times, and Casamayor I can hardly catch 1 WORD of what he says. Ricardo Mayorga too at times can be hard to understand but I think thats the Nicaraguan dialect.

Fernando Vargas at times can be hard to understand but thats because he seems to slur a bit.

Miguel Cotto for the most part is easy to understand.

I'll speak for the beaners only...

Barrerra, Ricardo Lopez, both Marquez brothers, speak pretty good, extremely articulate, they are all from Mexico City, fighters from there tend to have good diction.

De la Hoya is not as good as the above mentioned but that's because he's American, but his Spanish is pretty good considering he was born and raised in the States.

Vargas is horrid, he talks cholo, Morales runs circles around him, and Morales ain't exactly in Barrera's league as far as speaking in an educated manner is concerned.

Cesar Chavez' Spanish is very naco/ranchero, that would be the boner equivalent of hillbilly/redneck.

Cotto is a lot easier on the ears than Tito, that's for sure.

Morales is a country boy from Tijuana, he lacks Barrera's articulation, again, this is the Mexico City difference (as well as Barrera's middle-class upbringing).

He can be a sloth if he likes, just aslong as he comes forwards, throws punches and entertains, this is what boxing is supposed to be all about,.. there's a difference between fans of the sport, and fans of Fraud Mayweather you see?..

You forgot to tell Xplosive that not only is Tito's delivery fast as fuck, but he pronounces the R's like L's, typical of many Puerto Ricans, lol.

It's like starting off a sentence with "well...." I've noticed that quite a few Latino fighters do this in interviews.

Trinidad stutters a lot, and speaks fast, but you can understand him. People mock him over here. Casamayor is HORRIBLE!!! He makes Tito sound like a scholar. He talks exactly like that cuban who fought Riddick Bowe, the one who punched him in the press conference. I think the best spoken can be Cotto, Barrera and De La Hoya obviously knows his spanish. To me, Arguello used to be the best.
