I think I'll definetly go with Mayweather-Hatton and maybe, perhaps Cotto-Mosley.

The rest of them I'll just have to catch the replays.

Cotto-Shane and Floyd-Hatton are must-see PPV's, IMO, regardless of the undercard. I'm more excited about Cotto-Shane because on paper it's a far more competitive match. I'm rooting for an upset in Floyd-Hatton, but in the same sense that I rooted for an upset in Floyd-Gatti; little more than wishful thinking.

I'm still undecided on Pac-Barrera. Pac's last PPV card was solid, but that was with Arum having full control of the undercard. Splitting slots w/ Golden Boy... I don't know. The main event itself doesn't interest me, to be honest.

JMM-Juarez is a slight improvement from JMM-Barrios, which wasn't PPV-worthy. But it's still not very far removed from a shitty PPV headliner, and with an uninteresting undercard to boot.

Vargas-Mayorga depends on your preference. I've never been a fan of either one, therefore not interesting me in the slightest, though it's almost guaranteed that it will be entertaining for however long it lasts. Very weak undercard.

Jacob, how do you find out who's slated for the undercards for these events? A real good undercard could make my decision clearer also.

    Thanks in advance.

it's rare that the full undercard is ever announced any sooner than 6-8 weeks prior to the event

I'm definitely ordering (or going live to) Mayweather-Hatton and Cotto-Mosley.

I'll probably watch Pac-MAB 2, but it's not a must-see due to me thinking that MAB is such a longshot. Then again, I have a bad feeling that all the other things that Pac has been doing will catch up to him. So maybe MAB does have a decent chance if he makes the proper adjustments and Pac isn't all there mentally (or physically).

Don't care too much for JMM-Juarez. Vargas-Mayorga, maybe I'll catch that one at a bar.

Kessler-Calzaghe, on regular HBO, interests me more than JMM-Juarez and Vargas-Mayorga. So does Taylor-Pavlik.

True some of the free fights I would say are on paper far more compelling than some of these so-called PPV tilts. After what Juarez showed against Barerra in that rematch how the hell is that a PPV worthy fight? A big problem with the sport today IMO.

Vargas-Mayorga - Donnybrooking it (on the fence), but leaning towards "yes"
    JMM-Juarez - No
Pac-MAB II - Leaning toward "Yes"
    Mosley-Cotto - Hell yes!!!!
Mayweather-Hatton - undecided. Depends on the strength of the undercard, but I'm leaning towards "no."

I'm not a fan of either guy, why waste my money? :dunno:

    I didn't buy DLH-Mayweather, DLH-Hopkins, Hopkins-Taylor I & II for the same reason.

    "However"

I bought the last two Roy Jones PPV's. It's not like I bought Christy Martin vs Laila Ali. :tease:

    What?

Barrios is a former world champion, who had close competitive bouts with a prime Acelino Freitas and a prime Joan Guzman. Juarez had a competitive bout with a faded Marco Antonio Barrera, and followed him around like a goof in the rematch.

what does that mean? that's like saying 'oh, i'm not watching the super bowl because my team didnt make it'

honestly, i'm not really a fan of any specific fighters except for maybe hopkins, wright, roy, and morales.

you still watch boxing on HBO dont u?

Maybe he's better (I disagree, but it's certainly open to debate), but he's still basura. He's 130's answer to Mayorga.

Maybe Miguel Cotto-Shane Mosley, but highley doubt it!!

    I'm definatley not getting Fernando Vargas-Ricardo Mayorga,Juan Manuel Marquez-Rocky Juarez,Manny Pacquiao-Marco Antonio Barrera:shit:

Watching the Super Bowl doesn't add $50 to my cable bill. :notallthere:

I can wait a week to catch the replay.

so uh, assuming that you currently have subscription to HBO, and say you didn't really watch any of its original series or movies, would you cancel your subscription if none of your favorite fighters are fighting for the remainder of the year?

if there was another floyd-oscaresque event that even your neighbor's wife talked about, would you not order the PPV unless it involved one of your favorite fighters?

or how about the Revenge PPV? Say, there was something like that and it was headlined by Floyd-Hatton and the undercard was stacked w/ other significant fights, but still did not include any of your favorite fighters. what then?

I'd POSSIBLY download it a few days later.

Seriously, the last fight I saw live and the last PPV I bought were one and the same (Hoya-Floyd), and that's only because my brother-in-law was in town and wanted to watch it.

the best, by far, is Cotto-Mosley, this one i really want to see. Hatton-PBF comes in second and Mayorga-Vargas in 3rd (but I won't pay for it unless the undercard is stacked). No way I'm paying for Barrera-Pac (the fist one wasn't competitive and was free when Barrera was better) or especially, Marquez-Juarez. Surprinsingly, the "free" bouts are far more interesting than the PPV one.
