    "Erik Kernan (Josh Hartnett) is a sports writer and a good samaritan when he saves a homeless guy from getting pummeled by out-of-control college kids. However, the old, destitute dude maybe could have handled himself — but only in his early days when he was known as Champ, the nickname of boxing legend Bob Satterfield (Samuel L. Jackson). Although the Champ's story has largely been forgotten, Erik hopes to restore the old man's reputation as one of the greatest fighters of all time."

    It's not so much the actor that is important as is the story. IMO of course. Besides, Samuel should easily be able to carry him.

    Agreed. But he returned back to the actor he CAN be in Black Snake Moan, which was a good movie. THOSE are the kinda movies he should be making, but then his dumbass ruins his reputation by making shit like Snakes On A Plane.:doh:

    That would be like Denzel, or Don Cheadle starring in Anaconda. Sam is a goddamn fool, and will act in anything to make a buck!

    I read an interview once and Sam basically just said he loves his job so much which is the reason he takes so many roles.
