I think the problem is that any time a preferred fighter claims he "hurt one hand" -- all of a sudden he was "fighting one-handed."

It gets way too hyperbolized.

Jesus Chavez vs. Erik Morales? THAT is fighting one handed.

You can "hurt your hand" and have to pull back on the power some - but you are still fighting with both hands, punching with both, and using both effectively.

And "hurt" doesn't always mean "broken".
