Ok. But what if Holyfield manages to beat Sultan. Do we have to put Donald ahead of him then?

And shouldn't Tua be ahead of Maskaev? I'd favor him even now to get to Maskaev eventually, wouldn't you?

but in reality, there is solid truth in his post. Holyfield will defeat Sultan, Sultan sucks balls.

Tua has a punchers chance against anyone in the first 3 rounds.

Wlad is the only hw that is truly worth recognizing right now

Are you suggesting that from now on we rank heavyweight based on our top 1 list and forget about the rest ?

Thomas Hauser has a nice system of ranking the heavyweights by who beats who. He gets a bunch of "experts" to judge who beats who as well and then tallies up the results to pick the winner.

Sultan is going to wipe Holyfield out  , it doesn't make him good, he's just a stratuspherical step up from Lou Saverese you know what I mean?, Lou's past his prime, he's nothing like the fighter who was annihilated by Mike Tyson in 20 seconds several years ago.

Is he BETTER than Savarese??...Certainly,but Not THAT Much...

The CLOSER we Get to that Fight, the MORE REED Leans to Evander, even though he's SHOT...

Ray Austin spindles Holyfield, he'd dump his arse in a fire-bucket, Wlad beat Ray with one hand, you know what?..Wladimir would beat Holyfield with no hands, Briggs would ERODE Holyfield's skull, this will look like Sultan - Mora, it'll be brutal, and I'll have your siggy and avatar skins for the trouble,..:nono: prized hydes Reed, prized hydes thank you.

Evander has basically no chance vs. Sultan. Reed, even though Sultan struggled a bit with Austin, I wouldn't say he nearly got KO'd. Even though he got knocked down, he got right up and and was fine immediately.

Even though Sultan doesn't have the prettiest style, he does seem to be pretty tough, and thats all it should take to beat Oldyfield.

Did we forget Oldyfield vs. Toney? against Donald?? Cmon guys he's shot. And a win over Savarese doesnt change shit.

I think Sultan will win as well, but there's no question that he represents Holyfield's best chance at claiming any "respectable" portion of the heavyweight title.

I agree that Sultan was never in danger of being KO'd against Austin, but he did more than struggle a bit. He struggled mightily; any heavyweight worth his salt has no business allowing Ray Austin to drag them that deep into the waters. I think I had Sultan winning the fight by a couple of points (114-112 is a score that's coming to mind), but a draw was pretty damn close to being accurate as far as I;m concerned. And that's grounds enough to not think much of him.

thing is, Austin, as slow and uncoordinated as he is, is big as hell. holy's not that big.

but i agree - of all the titlists out there, sultan is certainly his best bet.

Perhaps. He's certainly at that cash-out stage of his career. Still, he possesses something Sultan doesn't - an equalizer. The dude can punch, even at this advanced stage of his career. Sultan has respectable power, but certainly not of the fight-altering variety.

Oleg is past-prime...but though a bit slow, dude can box and be deceptive about that...

And he's got a huge punch which can turn things around quickly...it's an equalizer, and a bit one. And he's good at delivering those short shots.

Chin's a liability; but he's hungrier now to go out with a big bang - and when he's right he can take a shot or two.

    Peace.
