There are fans of Pacman but now they're becoming haters because of all the worship and favouritism lately. Happens with every boxer.
No reason to not like Manny. Complete professional,..proven, great personality, confident and fights like the dickens. And with all that, he has a eye pleasing style with tons of power.\ The only reason anyone in this world would not like Manny Pac is because he either COULD or DID beat their favoriter fighter.::
I am a fan of his fighting but his singing, stupid commercials, running for office and other gay stuff I HATE.
no. i'm not phillipino. therefore, i'm not a fan of his. not only that, but because i'm not phillipino, i don't even need to provide an explanation as to why i'm not a fan. it's self-evident.
Kinda how I feel as well. Not to say that I dislike him, not in the least. In fact I'd love to see him catch on in the states/mainstream more so than is the case. But to say I'm a fan of his would be saying that I'm a fan of a lot of fighters, which cheapens the term (IMO).
I'm a fan of different styles of fighters and for different reasons. I'm a die hard tyson fan because he always wanted to rip off the head of his opponent and he did it was speed and skill (why i like Pacman also). I'm a die hard Mayweather and Prime Roy Jones fan because of the sublime skill that they possess...in that they have the uncanny ability to SHUT OUT opponents by pot-shotting...or whatever they choose to do it the ring. I'm a fan of both extreme excitement and extreme talent.
I think most people quickly become fans of Pacman. His style is fun to watch. The problem with some of his fans is that they think anything less the worshiping him is an insult.:dunno: I enjoy his fights and he is a damn good fighter. But because I don't think he is the best in the world I"m labeled a hater?:dunno: :laughing:

again I don't overrate the guy. I give him credit but I don't pretend he is a completely differente fighter. But I am the same way with every fighter. :dunno: The only time I really make fun of him is the out of the ring stupidities like trying to become a politician. But I do that with every fighter acting stupid. I"m not the only one. If you notice on every pacquiao debate I'm involved I always credit him for the fighter he is. I just don't go the extra mile and pretend he is god like some do around here.:nono:
I'm a fan of his in the sense that I have an appreciation for him as a fighter, and what he brings to the sport, and recognize his somewhat unique (or at least rare) abilities in the ring. But I have no real emotional investment in him as a person or a fighter, or in the outcome of his fights....but then that's generally the case.
