i was wondering the same thing.

i'm definitely rooting for Calderon now. he's half the size of Cazares. this is a tough ass fight and if he wins it it will be impressive.

Miguel Cotto is a superior boxer/fighter than Antonio Margarita? YES I AGREE...

after all this weigh thing...and stuff the fight got a bit more intersting IMO..i would've order if it was for $30 or less..

You said dish, DISH in a teasing manner...so when I'm finished whipping your shins with mar tail like a ribbly pooch, when it's time to run away, don't blame me for tearing the underzipper off ya ravioli when I ball through yar arch,..ya sexual deviant. :nono:

I don;t know, i think DishNetwork is the only one carrying it. Much like Comcast, DirecTV's PPV slots seem to be dedicated to the UFC - which most likely means any bar showing PPVs that weekend will be airing the UFC show. A shame as I wanted to see this card (more specifically this bout) though not sure i'd bring myself to spring $40 for it

In that vain, I agree, if Hopkins was wiling to accept the fight under those terms, then it's on him. I just think it was more cunty of Oscar to demand that than for Calderon to demand/request a stipulation that's already commonly practiced in at least one sanctioning body (even if its not their title on the line).

That's fine that you don't like it though. A lot of people don't. I generally don't care for extreme demands myself. I guess I just don't see this being one of them. Then again, I don't have as much hate in my heart for Calderon as do you and others

Maybe. They are pretty fast. They might have time to install this weekend.

his people have no problem with it as Hugo usually doesn't gain more than 8-9lbs after weigh in

as for why he weighed 121 from what his managers explained he didnt have a chance to workout before boarding the plane, then when he got off the plane he was bloated from whatever he ate/drank on the plane. The commision took his straight to the weigh in rather than letting him workout so when he got there he had already "missed" two workouts.

he is back at 110 as of yesterday and should 109 maybe 108.5 by the end of today. They said he will make weight

:eeeek: Before I thought Calderon could jump some weight classes because of his talent but no more. He just too small. I dont like his chances. If he had a little pop I wouldnt be worried but he dosent. I think this will finally be his downfall. If he cant get his respect this guy is just going to chase him down for 12 rounds. Calderon better be ready.

this would've been perfect for boxing after dark.

it's today's version of carbajal-gonzalez (although not in terms of excitment) or lopez-alvarez.

    fuck this ppv tho.

you mean you're no longer clamoring for a Pacquiao-Calderon showdown

Why does Cazares get so much love?

the other four fighters you mention had one loss between them.

  18. joony

    joony "Twinkle Toes" McJack

cuz he's an exciting mexican fighter w/ knockout power in both hands? how many losses does cazares have? 3? that's not that bad considering those losses came early in his career.

I don't like Calderon but I think I will put a few bucks on him. He's a very small favorite.

I was actually shocked that he's favored at all. Granted, I was/am picking him, but thought I was going with the upset in doing so.

And no, haven't heard anything on the weigh-in... or of any place around my way willing to show this fight. lousy stupid ufc :flip:

Cazarez shows up in PR overweight so it didn't surprise me. Cazarez cuts weight well though, he made weight. I mentioned earlier in this thread it is possible to cut 13 pounds, not easy but certainly possible. Both guys made weight it's on fightnews.

  24. Jake

Jake WBC Silver Diamond Emeritus Champ

    I saw before, thanks.

And in regards to Cazares, as bruh Eaner earlier explained, Cazares boarded his plane without working out and was weighed in mere moments after he landed. Supposedly his weight was closer to 115-116. It's still over what it's supposed to be 7 days out, but also as mentioned earlier, it doesn't mean dick if nobody is there to enforce the rules.

well I got comcast so I can't fucking order the fight.

someone gave me a site where one can download all the fights hours after they finish. I haven't been there in a long time. I just went there and some people had uploaded the Tua fight from last weekend.

so obviously it's still working. I'll check it out at sometime Saturday, hopefully somebody will be nice enough to upload Calderon/Cazares.:blobbox:

Calderon is in for a fierce ass whooping. From what i've seen from him he will fold under serious pressure. Ivan is going to quit in this fight.

This is bullshit! Direct tv dosent have it either. I guess I can always stream it.

Are you sure Hex? Where's your love for the ricans? Hell, Calderon beat Cotto in the amateurs, I'm sure he can go up to 147 and beat him again. :dunno:
