I don't understand the eagerness of the famous people to appear on that crappy show....isn't it for faded and out of work celebrities? Now Mark Cuban is gonna be there too. :dunno:

For just straight up money from sports Floyd will be the 2nd highest earner for this year behind Oscar De la Hoya. Thats hardly washed up celebrity status. The Floyd express is gaining momentum right now.

Thanks to his fight with Oscar this year, that kinda helped. Not to mention there are no superstars left in the sport.

 

Im talking about the whole of sports. Tiger Woods earns the most overall but he earns 90% of his money from marketing not golf. So far i think Floyd was ranked in 11th overall for yearly earings from just sports income. Im sure hes on 8 figures for this fight and will make at least another 7 figures from his PPV cut when the fight does at least 500,000 buys.

 

its poor timing.....if this show is as successful as i am lead to believe....then surely he can do this next year or the year after?.....i can see how it could work from a publicity point of view, but at the cost of his own preperation, its not worth it......it is a massive fight already

I hate Mayweather as much as the next guy "however" I'm hoping he surprises me and shows a charming/likeable side of himself. It'll go a long way toward helping the sport (I think).

I caught him on a few talk shows after the DLH fight and you could tell he was trying to be a nice guy. It came off as forced.
