Are there any fights you can think of in which one guy seemed ahead of time that he was going to lose? Could you see it in his face or his body language?

Seemed like Benitez knew he would lose to Hearns, for example.

De La Hoya knew he would lose to Hopkins, well in advance of thier fight, if you get my drift.

pbf knew he was gonna lose to castillo - that's why he kept telling his corner to massage his shoulder.

Golota against Tyson. Mike had Andrew completely intimidated as early as the press confrences, Golota never had a chance.

Andrew also looked like he was pissing his pants in the staredown with Lewis. Guess he realized that he wasnt fighting a shot Bowe.

That fight wasn't a set up. Oscar simply couldn't have beaten Hopkins...even if he had a bat.

You idiot, it's a perfect example. Watch the pre fight antics, watch hamed fuss over gloves whilst lookign nervous for half an hour, then watch him BOTTLE the rope jump for the FIRST time in his career, whilst looking like he's about to shit himself.

He fucking knew he was going to lose, you could see it on his face before the fight, and he fought like it too, he fought to survive, not win.

Honestly, I think Leonard had a feeling when he fought Duran the first time, he really got in his head BIG TIME before their fight and Ray seemed to me to have that uneasy look before and even at time during the fight.

Yep, after round 3 he started to decline, round 7 where Castillo seized him up absolutely horrified and discouraged him, then once Drakulich took points away for the use of his elbow, he surcumed to paralysis, he had to defend himself conventionally with two gloves over his face and he couldn't run much because Castillo the minx, had taken Fraud's legs and juice away by that point, I love that fight, it was a frenzying fuckfest.

He Did that Because some PRICK Threw his BEER on Prince,During his Ring Entrance...

Prince's Gloves were WET & he COULDN'T Get them to Properly Grip the Ringrope...

Had NATHAN to Do w/Barrera:nono: ...

& Let's Not Pretend that Hamed Lost EVERY Round,Cause he Most Certainly DIDN'T...That was Still a WINNABLE Fight after 6-7 Rounds...

How so? Benitez certainly didnt appear intimidated by Tommy when he got up in his face in the stare down. Benitez believed he could win, Hearns was just too much for him.

    RIDICULOUS!

Hamed was so confident going into thsi fight that he was saying that he dedicates it to Muslims all over the world and if he loses it's only because it's written by Allah...and even had the audacity to grab the microphone before the fight and chant some Arabic. Those are not the actions of a man that expects to lose my misguided friend.

As for the gloves: your trying to find something that's not there to help your case. Many fighters want to make sure everything is right before entering the ring. He didn't jump the rope because someone soaked him with Beer and he was scared that he'd slip as a result...EVIDENCED bythe way he was rubbing his gloves before entering the ring.

    Like I said before....

    WORST EXAMPLE YET!!:kick:

 Sly, look past his routine bullshit and moronic speaches, watch that fight again and just look at his fucking face during the ringwalk, when bottling the jump, in the ring, and then during the actual fight when he was fighting to survive and cowering away from barrera like a bitch.

Seriously, if you have it, go and look at the fight all the way from hamed's locker room.

I knew it when I saw it, hamed looked nervous and scared, and basically like he knew he was going to lose.

Other than the really obvious examples like Tyson - Spinks, mine is the BEST EXAMPLE YET!! :tease:

yep, first fight I thought of, and you're right in that Tyson's name will continue to pop up in here.

Another - Frank Bruno going into the rematch. Nigel Benn seemed more amped for the fight than did Bruno, who looked terrified walking to the ring, and then more so once he was actually there.

    Yep Jake!

Tyson's name can pop up many times in this thread:

    Vs Spinks
    Vs Bruno 2
    Vs Stewart
    Vs Seldon
    Vs Tillman

    Etc...
