Well since everyone beats Jermaine Taylor in a MM these days, is this the one fight that's winnable for him?
Could really go either way. If Taylor can back Watson up he wins rather easily. If Watson makes Taylor try to fight backing up Watson wins by ud.
It's a bad style match up for Watson actually. But he's allot better so he'd squeeze it out like the long jobby Taylor is.
If Taylor could fight for twelve rounds, I'd favour him to win actually. As you say, a bad style match-up for Watson, who liked to counter rather that lead. But he can't, so it's a moot point. MTF
You are as fickle as a 10 dollar ho! The Taylor that was destroyed by Abraham and Froch was a diminished fighter (Physically and mentally) and not the same as the undefeated version that fought Hopkins and Joppy. In MMs we consider fighters at their best.
The same Taylor who lost to the smaller Winky Wright and had all he could handle against Spinks & Ouma you mean? Then got KOd by Pav. Yeah, Watson beats that guy
:: Suddenly Watson was this killa! Last I checked the only meaningful win of Watson's career was against Nigel Benn, and that was more about Benn punching himself out hitting Watson's gloves (after spending the entire day of the fight getting his hair braided) than anything Watson did. Watson was KO'd by Eubank, McCallum. Taylor beating Hopkins twice >>>>>>>>>>>anything Watson's ever done in the ring. And I'm a bigger fan of Watson than I am of Taylor. Watson had a very aesthetically pleasing textbook style, was British, very humble and likable. Taylor was a hick!
Watson beat Eubank first time out and was whipping him something fierce before walking into a freak shot and hitting the back of his head off the ropes in the rematch. Watson was pretty good. Better than Taylor for sure.
Taylor was a skittish, awkward afflete boxer with a fair jab and an awful, wild overhand right He was not very good as champions go
Kessler win was probably his best.I am not defending Calzaghe's reign either. I am simply saying it was better than Slopkins'. He also bested Slopkins in a one sided fashion, making him try to quit. BTW, Jermain Taylor beat Slopkins 2 times::::Would you point to a similar black mark on Calzaghe's reign.
