GUADALAJARA, MEXICO (September 4, 2007) -- Three-division world champion and future Hall of Fame shoo-in, MARCO ANTONIO BARRERA, has declared war on his opponent and nemesis, pound for pound superstar Manny Pacquiao. Barrera, who began his fifth week of secluded high altitude training in Mexico, is preparing to battle and dethrone the reigning "Fighter of the Year" in a 12-round super featherweight rumble which will take place in 32 days. <!-- m -->http://fightbeat.com/news_details.php?NW=20159
Yeah, that SOUNDS Good... Unfortunately, the OUTCOME Won't Resemble Barrera's Prediction... Pac by Late TKO or UD... REED
I will enjoy this beating like the first one....but this time I can see it coming, so it's sweeter :crafty:
I'm looking forward to the fight but i don't think Barrera has much hope in this one. He's been slipping for a while now and Manny is even better than he was in the first fight. Barrera will have to put on a boxing clinic and avoid any brawling to have a shot.
Hey that is just ridiculous. BTW I think MAB has one final great performance in him. A bit like Rocky against Tarver.::
I disagree but we will have to wait and see the outcome, but even if that is true there is no shame in that, Manny is an awesome fighter, and would be the only person to "own" as u put it ....Barrera.
Even though I think Pacquiao is a nightmare for Barrera, I am a little concerned about Manny's distractions catching up with him, along with maybe Manny losing his fire and interest in the sport.
I posted months ago, when he was campaigning to be a politician that Manny was soon done as a top fighter. Basically, trying to be a politician, then talking about law school etc, is he still going to have the same hunger to get in the ring and go to war and destroy world class fighters? It's something I felt months ago, for some reason Manny does seem to have lost his fire and interest in the sport, a little prematurely too, when is at his peak. Along with the distractions, this fight is a little worrying as a pacman fan. I actually had a dream last night that Barrera stopped him late, and pacman looked rubbish and unfocused. However, after their first fight, that's not enough for me to pick MAB over him, I still have to go with Pacman by stoppage around round 9.
REED HATES when he Does that:: ... PRIOR to Mosley-Forrest I,REED Dreamt that Shane Got DROPPED...Ditto for Roy-Tarver II... Whenever REED Does this,he Wakes HIMSELF UP So he Can't see the Outcome... REED::
I think it's only fitting that Barrera began his run w/ Golden Boy by getting his ass whooped against Pacquiao, as it will most likely end the same way.
Damnit. Sucks that it was THOSE fights that you dreamt. Makes me worry even more, maybe there is something in dreams.
